Booked an Executive room and was upgraded to Club room as RA. (1 level) The rooms are the biggest asset to this hotel, however they are very small.
The TV only worked intermittently, tried watching a film but it was very stuttery, so I gave up. Some films wouldn't work at all.
The mini bar was awful, not even a handful of spirits, 2 beers and lots of water. No wine, champagne, juices etc. Having never been charged for snacks anywhere on a paid stay as RA, I made the assumption that these would be free, but then found them on the bill for £44.
I ordered room service, which never arrived and was charged to the bill (though removed at checkout).
The rooms are very poorly sound-proofed, - with bottle banks being emptied outside at 7.50AM, this is not good.
We went to the lounge the first night, and there were 3 or 4 people in there. Very limited evening drinks selection, (and no champagne, unlike it's sister hotel across the park) Small canapes which ran out. Nice lounge though, and very cosy and intimate.
However, the next day the lounge was closed without notice.
I really expected it to be better. In truth, the place shouldn't be open yet, because there are still a LOT of issues that need to be resolved.
In spite of the enthusiasm of many of the staff, one cannot help but feel that they have simply been left to it by their management, and they seem lost and lacking in leadership and supervision.
I've read about people with no status booking through 3rd party sites getting better treatment than Royal Ambassadors, and that's not right.
Closing the Club without notice/explanation/recompense is unforgivable. I was told to have breakfast in the restaurant instead. (Front desk insisted a message had been sent to my TV to explain, but there wasn't a message there when i went back to the room.) So, beware of booking Club access, as you may not receive it, depending on how the hotel feels)
Overall, It was an opportunity to impress their RA customers in particular, and they failed. Intercontinental Park Lane for me, next time.

It was such a great hotel and we absolutely loved everything. Great welcome and service from the staff. Always a smile on their faces! Wonderful room and nothing was missing. Tried tea and cake the next day in the lounge, wonderful that too.
Perfect location too.
Can highly recommend this!

This is a great hotel in a great location... beautiful, spacious rooms. The best is the staff - specifically, the Concierge Team is amazing, and so incredibly helpful.

So new it was not on Garmin GPS. With help from a cab driver, no problem. Great location, and even nicer room. For Priority Club members, remember your American earned points used in the UK give you much greater value.

I booked a 2 night stay at the London Westminster - looking for a luxury break for our wedding anniversary......Spending over 100 nights a year in hotels I am a little critical......However I am delighted to say that the Westminster Hotel delivered on every front. All the staff were very welcoming from the start, always wanting to help and ensure our stay was a memorable experience. The rooms are very spacious for London and the Club Lounge is a great place to relax. The location of the hotel is also fantastic for exploring London. With Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Horse Guard Parade and London eye only a short walk away....and if the is sun is shining you can enjoy St James Park, located just down the street.....with it's lovely flower gardens and lake....When I can I will always stay at the Westminster in the future….As a few other people have said this is one of London’s secret gems. .

Rated 5,0 out of 5,0 by Pippy Great Location, mostly very good service and staff, with only a minor disappointment to overcome........relating to members room upgrades.
One of the newest properties joining Intercontinental Hotels in London with their Park Lane location as well,I do prefer this one for its modern look, nicely appointed rooms and a very enjoyable Club floor lounge with very helpful staff and good atmosphere. All plus marks..................I have already written a favourable review to Trip Advisor and score this hotel highly for new comers to this hotel. The only disappointing aspect is directly related to upgrades to room categories for visiting Ambassador members and particularly Royal Ambassador members, the latter are usually the creme de la creme of their customers and are usually treated as Elite around the world. Not so in London.Neither the Park Lane nor this location show any type of enthusiasm to greet you based on member status and are so tight with upgrades it hurts.I was told higher categories were available but to rhave a Junior suite we needed to pay an additional $650 a night Since my posting two other Royal Ambassadors have been in contact with exact same thoughts.... and same experience here and this is rather sad as it appears it only happens in London,no where else.Pay more money and we will upgrade you was the answer at reception. The best we got was a Studio suite and not the usual Junior or Full Suite which was so plentiful at the sold off Churchill Interconti some years back.Thats a personal disappointment ....for the general guest the hotel is worth visiting, very modern and bright but expensive as is London in general............................My only negative comments relates to a meer personal disappointment relating to Club members and not the hotel,Visitors should expect good service and immaculate rooms and the location is walkable to almost everything London can offer......................

Arrived for our stay on Saturday 27th April with my husband for our wedding anniversary. Had called ahead to let the hotel know we would be arriving around 10am and was grateful they had our room ready. We were upgraded and were not dissapointed.
Our room was lovely though a little on the dark side with no view but in terms of the high standard of the room I was extremely pleased. The bathroom was spacious and the bed, duvet & pillows were very comfty for a perfect night's sleep.
Perfect location and opposite a tube station but only 10mns in a taxi from St Pancras Station.
We ate in the restaurant at night, the food was just ok!
