It appewrs great on paper, but there are plenty of sour spots. Breakfast quality was so so and variety lack. The service was subpar at the Summit restaurant given steep price charged. The tea is tasteless and overall chef quality is below average. We stayed at Intercontinental HK and their service is 4+, nanjing is 3-- at best.
Interior quality already showed wear and tear, amazing for a new hotel.

I rate the Intercontinental Hotel in Nanjing very highly for many reasons. They include the wonderful staff, who always made us feel so welcome. From the ever smiling doorman through to your fabulously friendly wait staff in the restaurants and lounges. Nothing was too much trouble. We were also extremely impressed with our room which was serviced excellently and was spacious, beautifully furnished and impeccably clean. I would highly recommend the Intercontinental, Nanjing to anyone looking for a Hotel whose facilities and staff would impress even the most fussy of travellers.

Overall the best hotel experience in Nanjing area, great view and great friendly staff that provided unparallel service , very attentative and comfortable.

We were on the 69th floor, lake view with a deluxe room. The bed was comfortable. The bathtub in the middle of the room was a bit odd but quite a good surprise and the room was well sized. With the lake view, the sun passed a little through (above actually) our blinds and woke us very pleasantly, that might have been different if we expected a big sleep.
The view and the building are good but I've been much more impressed by Shanghai skyscrapers. Nevertheless the building is tall and that's a good point if you're lost in Nanjing: you spot it very easily. We really enjoyed the indoor swimming pool on the 8th floor (access was complimentary) and in the early morning or at night the swimming pool is all for yourself, it's fantastic !
The location is just perfect. The staff was great. Spoken English is not always flawless but that was good enough for us. Great people.
We've however been disappointed in the breakfast. The choice was large but the quality of most products was a deception, it's very far from what you'd get in IC Hong Kong or Paris for example.

The room was supplied with all amenities and was very comfortable and a very short walk to the metro station. We paid extra for use of the executive lounge which we really enjoyed. It was lovely to relax there after a full day out. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

Surprised to be received by staff apprarently did not familar with the beneifit for Amassador, upgrading me to the excecutive room but could not allow me to use the lounge, even after i pointed out it was not fair. what a surprise! Lucky I was quite sure about the policy and stressed again and again until she realized... Room looked like not ready for me and no any call from the front desk as usual. Anyway, the lounge was nice, staff were so kind.

If you are seeking non-smoking accommodation this is not the hotel for you. As a Platinum member I reserved four non-smoking lake view rooms. When we checked in I was upgraded to a suite room on the non-smoking floor. The stale smoke in the room was so intense I had to leave the room before calling the desk. I waited for 30 minutes for another room also on the non-smoking floor which was also a smoking room. Finally my group went to eat, while we were eating a helpful staff member went room to room to find one where the previous occupants had not been smoking heavily. After dinner there were two rooms I could 'check', fortunately one of the two had only a light odor.
The property hardware looks great but the management needs some work. It wasn't what I was used to as a frequent ICH guest. If you smoke it's a great property, if you don't, you may want to look elsewhere.

洲际一直是我在南京的首选，各方面软硬件水准都保持我预期的理想。
78楼云端餐厅更是酒店的加分之处，
美中不足室内泳池偏小，预约时间后到达发现已有两位客人，且几乎无法再容纳多一人游泳，建议应采取预约时间错峰使用。
