Rated 1,0 out of 5,0 by Worst Hotel Stay Ever Despite being a non-smoking room, the room smelled like old smoke. The rooms look like they were recently remodeled, but they didn't do anything about the smell. To add to the misery, at 1:00a in the morning I was awakened by the phone ringing. I answered and no one was there. A few minutes later, the phone rang again, and again no one was there. I tried to go back to sleep and was startled by someone trying to enter my room. I actually thought someone was trying to break in. Thankfully I had turned the deadbolt and used the privacy lock on the door. I asked the person on the other side of the door who they were and what they wanted, and he said he was checking in and this was the room he had been assigned. I told him someone was already checked into this room. By then I was so worked up and adrenaline pumping that I could not go back to sleep. I went to check out at 6a. No one was at the front desk, but there was a sign that said pick up the lobby phone for assistance. I picked up the phone and it rang and rang on the other end until it went to a recording, which said to push 2 for the night manager. I pressed 2 and the phone rang and rang again and rolled back to the recording and asked to leave a message. I waited a little while longer an no one ever came to the desk. I left the room keys and note asking for my receipts to be emailed to me. It has been two days and I have yet to receive them. If all of this wasn't bad enough, the room was paid for in advance, yet when I get home I find that there is an $11 charge to my credit card. I called the hotel who told me it was for items purchased at their store. I never purchased anything from there store. The hotel says they will credit the $11 back to me, but that will remain to be seen. I will never stay at this hotel again. 5. August 2014

Rated 4,0 out of 5,0 by Great Service We most enjoy the evening staff. They are friendly and welcoming when you come off the road (14 hour trip). They get you registered and in your room. The disappointment this time was in the room decor chair was cracked and worn. The towels also seem that way. Not so much that you felt they were not clean, just well used. Rated 3,0 out of 5,0 by Minimalist I stay in this area two days every 6 weeks and I have switched to Candlewood because of the work area in the room as well as the kitchen set up. I find the price a little higher than comparable hotels but the "suite" allows me to do my work and make my stay more valuable. A continental breakfast would make this chain a better value. 28.
