We have two Sheffield hotels, both with excellent city centre locations and within easy reach of the M1.
Whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure, this city will keep you occupied. This is something of a Mecca for shoppers in Yorkshire, the city being home to the Meadowhall Shopping Centre. This is the biggest shopping centre in the region and the 8th biggest in the UK. The centre is 3 miles North East of Sheffield City Centre and houses more than 280 retailers. If you’re looking for retail therapy closer to the city centre, the Orchard Centre is where you should head.
Visitors to Sheffield are also spoilt for choice with museums. There are at least half a dozen within the city, including the Fire and Police Museum, Kelham Island Museum and the Sheffield Bus Museum, all of which make for a great day for kids and adults alike.
For sports fans, there are two league football clubs in the city; Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday. The city is also home to the Crucible Theatre, often referred to as the ‘home of snooker,’ as the world championships are held here. There’s an indoor skiing facility, golf courses, swimming pools and a greyhound racetrack.
Sheffield is conveniently close to the M1 and both of our Sheffield hotels are centrally located, making access by train just as easy. The city’s stations connect travellers by direct service to many towns and cities across the UK including Huddersfield, Doncaster, Leeds and Bristol.
So pack your bags, head to Sheffield and enjoy a stay in the midst of all the action.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Barnsley in May, where my family was having a get-together: 30 adults and 6 children.
I found the staff friendly and helpful.
My husband and I shared a room with our son[More]
- we had booked a room for 3 adults - but my son's bed was like a camp bed and not long enough for him.
The room safe was out of order and a temporary repair did not work.
My sister had booked a function room where we had a set menu - not a great deal to choose from, and quite pricey. However, I phoned ahead and asked for special meals for my husband and son and these were readily provided. The food was well presented but nothing special.
At breakfast next morning there was plenty of choice, but the staff were slow to provide tea and coffee. [Less]
A very comfortable hotel with a sense of history and theatre. The rooms were very generous in size and beds and bathroom of a high quality. The hotel would get full marks but the hotel decoration[More]
looks a little tired in places and the breakfast selection had been too long under the heat lamp [Less]
