We have several Stansted hotels, all within very easy reach of the airport. Whether you’re coming or going from Stansted, we can accommodate you practically on the doorstep.
If you’ve some time to spare around Stansted and you’re staying in the area, you might be tempted to take the short trip into central London for sightseeing or entertainment. There’s a direct train service from the airport to London Liverpool Street that gets you there in about 45 minutes. There are also a number of direct buses and coaches.
However, you don’t have to travel to London for something to do. There’s plenty going on around Stansted itself. 20 miles North up the M11, you’ll find the Imperial War Museum located at nearby Cambridge. Adults and children alike will enjoy this museum, which exhibits a number of aircraft and sea vessels used in warfare.
If you’re fortunate enough to be around on a race day, Newmarket horse racing course is just 35 miles from the airport. It will take around 40 minutes to drive there from our Stansted hotels, straight up the M11.
For something even closer to the airport, explore Bishop’s Stortford. It’s less than 6 miles away and is a quaint and quintessentially English market town with lots of history.
Make the most of your stay around Stansted airport with a night or two at one of our hotels. We’ll make you right at home, right on the doorstep of the airport.
Our hotel is only three minutes walking distance from the central line underground station. Easy access if you are going to Stratford City or central London. All our guests can enjoy Express Start breakfast included in our rates and free wireless Internet throughout the hotel.
We stayed two nights at the Holiday Inn Express Cambridge-Duxford M11, Jct 10. This was our first experience of a Holiday Inn and we were both impressed. The hotel is spotlessly clean, there is free[More]
internet, the staff were all very friendly, efficient and polite.
There was some noise from the road outside, but as the name of the hotel suggests, it's location is near the M11, so some noise is to be expected - we realised this when we booked so it was not a major problem. The only issue for us was that we had to close the window at night due to traffic noise being a bit disruptive.
Breakfast was good value, it consisted of hot and cold buffet with a good choice. You could eat as much as you wanted and the food was of good quality.
We would recommend to friends and family. We enjoyed our stay thank you. [Less]
