All very friendly and helpful (no matter the time of day or night) in my 2-wk stay, .
The lady taking care of the breakfast during the week acted like she owned the dining area, just like your Mom[More]
might act when you were in her kitchen. She kept the food stocked, tables clean and coffee hot and plentiful. Heck, she even bussed the tables when people had finished their meal and were just sipping coffee.
My only gripe would be it would have been nice to have a fan on the ac for white noise at night [Less]
The staff is friendly and courteous. The hotel presents attractive appearance upon entering the lobby. The guest room with two queen beds is sufficient space for two adults. There are desk with chair[More]
and also an upholstered chair. The room could use a luggage rack for accommodating another suitcase. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is not because the toilet seat is too low! The rates are high because a college is located in Portales, and there are only two other motels, one of which is vintage. The town without the college could not charge such rates, but the motels would not be there anyway. There is no drawing card to Portales except the college, and Portales is not on the way to anywhere. I understand there are rodeos held here so there are probably some visitors who do come to town for that purpose. [Less]
