Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by an oasis in busy Osaka Although out of the core commercial part of the city centre this hotel is well located opposite Nijo Castle and has a frequent and free shuttle bus to the railway station. It has bus stops and a metro station close by. The hotel staff were excellent - helpful, courteous, efficient. A good range of dining options and an excellent buffet breakfast is available. Good swimming pool and leisure facilities (although these are charged for). Good-sized guest rooms and facilities although the bedroom furniture looked a bit tired. A nice place to come back to after doing the tourist sights of Kyoto at the end of the day. 05 November 2014

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by An average hotel The hotel is tucked away in a quiet part of Kyoto. The overall service is adequate. The lobby and reception area are great and welcoming; especially around the waterfall area. However, the hotel is let down by the dated rooms and amenities provided. Several floors are clearly smoking. This is almost unacceptable in the current international setting.s Bar area is sombre and crowded. The best aspects of my stay are the staff service and attention to the guest's request. Would I stay here again? Yes, but only if other hotels in the area are full. 14 October 2014

Is a good place for a good night rest after day excursion in Kyoto temples and shrines. Is easily accessible by subway and the hotel do provides shuttle bus from downtown train station. 08 October 2014

Por pone alguna pega, que el hi-fi solo sea gratis en la habitación y que el uso de las instalaciones deportivas, en un hotel de esta categoría sea de pago, tanto la piscina como el gimnasio. El buffet de desayuno es extraordinario tanto en calidad como variedad. Muy recomendable hotel. 27 September 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Japanese hospitailty Have stayed here many times, great hotel with excellent Japanese hospitality making this a perfect choice for those wanting a familiar western hotel in Kyoto with 5-star Japanese customer service. Room décor is old fashioned compared to more modern hotels in Tokyo, but room and bathroom amenities are all well maintained and guests can expect a flat screen TV with plenty of channels and the ubiquitous bidet toilet. Internet is via ethernet cable or wifi and is fast and reliable. Rooms are very spacious for Japanese hotel standards. The beds have a foam mattress on top which feels unusual at first, but always a comfortable night's sleep. Room service is fast and efficient, and laundry is always outstanding quality at reasonable prices. Hotel restaurant - Cozy - is a reliable buffet restaurant with plenty of choice and delicious food with excellent customer service like the rest of the hotel. Breakfast time can be crowded. A great hotel amenity is the complimentary shuttle bus service between the hotel and Kyoto train station. Highly recommend this hotel. 07 September 2014
