Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Our recent stay in the Holiday Inn Ashford North (UK) This was for us the fourth time over a number of years to stay for one night in this hotel. It is a nice first stop coming by car or bus from mainland Europe. This prior to travel further into the interior of the UK. It is a good hotel for a one night stay and close to the motorway. The noise of the motorway is by the way noticable in most rooms we stayed in over the years (not a problem for us). Some parts of the hotel could use a modernization (bathroomds / shower and climate control in the rooms). On the other hand hotel staff is friendly and responsive. The price / quality ratio is ok. For a future stop over we will for sure consider to book this hotel again. May 14, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Terrific stay - lousy internet I love this place and the staff, I even turned the room into a swimming pool last week (fell asleep with bath running) and they remained unflustered and charming... but the internet is truly awful, so bad you may as well use a carrier pigeon: couldn't Facetime the kids which frustrates me to the extent that I may just have to look elsewhere. But if internet is low on your list of priorities I'd give it a go... May 9, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Noisy. Food took over an hour and wasn't what I wanted. This is the fourth stay I have had at this venue and every time there has been a complaint by someone in the group. My personal experience this time entailed 1. Asking for a quiet room and being placed above the wedding/disco. Then offered a room closer to it! And finally, being given a room that was quiet. 2. The food was a confused offering of heavy food with no salad or similar included and it took over an hour to get my food! I chose something from the original menu that was given to me and made a special trip in the morning to the hotel to confirm this. I arrived for dinner and was told I had to have something else from another drawn up menu. There was nothing on the sparse menu that I actually wanted, so I settled for something and had to ask for a salad to be included as there were no salads or similar light food on the menu. Due to a medical condition, I cannot eat heavy food and I cannot eat late. Therefore, I had a very uncomfortable night. Every time our group have stayed here the food has been under par: undercooked, overcooked, etc. and always late. I will not be eating in this hotel again. May 3, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Top stay We use Ashford as a jump point when travelling to France and have to admit to previously using the sister hotel at Ashford Central, however after one too many 'less than perfect' stays we chose to try alternatives. For the sake of a 5 minute ride out of town, this hotel is really worth the drive! The cost per night is less and the hotel in a far better condition. You do start to wonder if you are on the right road but a little patience and you will find it on the LHS of the road heading away from Ashford. The rooms are large and comfortable and you can control the internal environment to your liking. There was no PC Plat card up-grade available to us for the twin bed option that we required but the room we were placed in was huge and very comfortable; it was nice not to be on the sofa bed. The dining room provided a very nice supper and breakfast was excellent too. Staff were friendly and really you could not have asked for a better stay. We will be back. May 3, 2013
