Booked online, asked for ground floor room and walk in shower which is exactly what I got. Everyone was really friendly and helpful especially Laura on reception. Definitely recommend.

I have to say I was a little skeptical about Holiday Inn when I booked it because the price was so good; I thought that there had to be a catch somewhere. I could not have been more wrong! The minute you step into the hotel lobby you can see that it is well-kept. The staff were friendly and polite - they even let us leave our bags in a safe room because check-in wasn't for 3 hours and we wanted to wander around Bath luggage-free. Wonderful service.
The room itself was fantastic; cosy, spacious, my friend and I were really happy when we saw it. The beds were very comfortable, with crisp clean sheets replaced daily, and plenty of tables, mirrors, etc, so that we could unpack our things and get ready for a night out easily. I have very long hair and the hair dryer worked fine. The shower room was big, bright, and snazzy - was a real treat getting polished up for the evening. Complimentary tea & coffee and a television were a big bonus! Best of all? The room and hotel in general were SPOTLESS! Immaculately clean.
Breakfast was more than decent. Plenty of beverages to choose from, a choice of scrambled eggs and other hot food if you're big on breakfast. But regular pastries and cereal if you want something light. No complaints whatsoever with the food.
We had a lovely stay - everything was perfect and we were really quite sad to leave at the end of our visit. I shall definitely be using this hotel again when I next visit Bath.

On arriving at 9pm on a saturday night hoping to relax we found only 1 bed had been made up (we had booked for 3 people 5 months earlier!), so had to sit and wait and watch while this was done. Next we all wanted a shower but with only 1 shower towel between 3 it wasn`t pleasant! Finally in the morning we came to go to breakfast, from the 3rd floor to find the lift broken! Not the best stay all round and we will be looking at alternatives for our next girlie visit.

Friendly and professional reception, breakfast room and housekeeping staffs. Clean, quiet and comfortable rooms. Excellent location, free over-night parking.
Delicious hot and cold buffet breakfast a step-up from typical USA Holiday Inn Express selections.
Would recomend this property to anyone.
Upon check-in the hotel staff did not have knowlege of our Priority Club membership.

Our whole "experience" was tainted by arriving at a time when a large party were being told that there were no rooms available for them. This was compounded by the fact that when we presented ourselves at check-in we too were advised that there was no room available and that alternative arrangements were being made to find us a room in Bristol.............. somewhat pointless as the whole purpose of our trip was to see our daughter at University in Bath. Having booked directly through the Holiday Inn website as a Priority Club Member, and having received emails (and even one on the preceding Friday) that a room was confirmed and available the attitude of the staff for a long time was "tough..... there is nothing we or you can do about it". Wrong Holiday Inn this was your problem and you should have had the situation sorted before our arrival - did you just hope we would not turn up!?!
Eventually we were taken to one side and advised that whilst our originally booked room was not available there was one room left in the hotel, a wheel chair accessible room. As the alternative was a room in an unknown hotel in Bristol we accepted.
Despite a room rate reduction and complimentary refreshments at the bar, the whole hotel stay was a disappointment. The weekend was, however, great fun - mainly due to the fact that we stayed away from the hotel for as long as possible.
The reservation system at the hotel needs to be sorted!!

just OK; kind of an unmemorable experience overall. Thought the cost was a bit high for the quality of building. Downtown is a 15 min walk for a youthful step. Less mobile folks will need to find a different way into the city.
Front desk help was nice, though

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AndieR79 Great location and great hotel
What a fab place, less than 15 minutes walk from the town centre, so great for the nights out and there's ample parking at the hotel so need to worry about the crazy lack of parking in Bath.
The staff were super friendly and helpful, also prompt with request such as extra towels, leaving of bags as we turned up early.
The only slight let down was the breakfast. There was plenty of choice but I felt that the scrambled eggs were a little on the 'sloggy' side. But that's a preference!

We stayed in this hotel for a nice weekend break over the May Bank Holiday. Upon arrival, there was no priority check in for priority club rewards members so had to queue behind a large group. We were advised that the room wasn't fully made up yet but we could still check in. The room itself was the usual Holiday Inn standard, clean, comfortable and all the usual facilities. The hot drinks section hasn't been replenished but this didn't bother us. The hotel was in a nice quiet location, and it was only a 10minute walk to Bath centre and all the attractions and shops.
Breakfast the following morning was quite disappointing and didn't quite meet expeditions. The hotel was promoting new hot items and a wide selection of food for breakfast, but the reality didn't quite meet expeditions. The three hot options were scrambled egg, baked beans and sausages. There was a choice of two pastries, toast and a small fruit selection.
Overal the hotel was ok, it's a good place if you are staying over for a night or two and want to stay on the quieter side of bath.
