I chose the hotel knowing it was right on a busy main road into Birmingham and was concerned it would be noisy and at the price,quite basic. Well I could not have been more wrong! From the moment I arrived the the welcome was warm and helpful. The decor was very modern, bright and spacious which allowed you to forget the outside environment. The sound insulation was very efficient and it was a very quiet night. The room and bed were very comfortable and the room facilities were very good. The hotel is only a year or so old, but has been so well looked after that I thought it had only just opened. I would recommend it as a place to stay if you need to get into Birmingham easily and want a quiet and pleasant stay overnight.

The main advantage of staying at this hotel is that is very new. The furnishings are lovely, comfortable and great contemporary colours.
The twin bedroom was very roomy and choice of pillows for comfort is very welcome. The standard of the shower fittings and the design of the shower room is excellent.
The only disappointment was the mediocre quality of the bar food. The pasta dish, burger and chips were very dry and solid. However the breakfast was far better, items were replenished quickly.
The staff were very helpful be it at the reception or the bar.
Would have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to others.

We could not have been happier, and its hard to find fault. The only negative comment - the scrambled eggs at breakfast were dreadful.

This hotel was very clean & tidy, everything we requested was there, not good at having to pay ontop for car park but better safe than not but i give this 9/10 very pleasent.

A typical Holiday Inn Express with no real surprises - overall good value for the price of the room including breakfast. There was no hot water for shower in the morning, according to desk staff perhaps caused by a surge in usage at a particular time. Breakfast just about adequate - coffee machine poor and left without actual refill of coffee for a time so was just putting out hot water/milk. Scrambled egg had run out and also took a long time to be replaced - if in a hurry this was not helpful as the egg & coffee were two of the major items on the menu - without them a fairly meaningless breakfast!

I'm a business customer who stays in similar hotels across the UK & Ireland and the express Birmingham south A45 has earned my first review. Have stayed once in 2012 and again in 2013. In terms of price vs quality this Hotel has surpassed all others to date. Too sum it up: affordable, modern, clean, quiet and relaxing after a hard day. Great location, free wifi in all areas, handy parking, great bar menu (burger + nachos recommended) and very friendly helpful staff. I will return again soon. Many thanks

I only stayed one night. Room was clean and staff very helpful. The hotel was convenient for my destination and having an on-site car park was helpful.

Everything was nice, apart from the breakfast choice was a bit disapointiong.We were expecting a buffet full english breakfast, but it was more of a continental really.apart from that everything else was great.
