I was desperate to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. I was need of a quiet and relaxing place so that I could work to complete my dissertation. After nearly two weeks of searching for a cabin, my sister suggested I stay in a hotel just simply based on the convenience and safety. Needless to say I came across this location. I was a bit hesitant because I am extremely picky when it comes to hotel stay as well worried about having peace and quiet. Prior to making the reservation I must have called three times, I remember a gentlemen at the actual site assisted me. He was soooo patient and really helped me to make the decision to stay at this site. I don't recall his name but I appreciate his southern hospitality. The hotel far beyond exceeded my expectations! I stayed in the King Suite. The room was immaculate, spacious and just what I needed! The outside grounds too were clean and up to par. Never once did I have a problem with noise. Each morning I would wake up early, and sit outside on the benches next to the country club (the mountainous view is beautiful and sooo peaceful, not to mention the nice staff at the country club that greeted me every morning). I can't say enough about my staff. I have stayed in 5 star hotels, and this by far was one of the BEST..actually the BEST hotel visits I have had. I was able to finish 3/4 of my dissertation and certainly forsee myself coming back within a few more weeks to complete the entire proposal.

The service here was great. However, the hotel was exceptionally noisy. Daily the housekeeping people banged the doors over and over again going in and out of the rooms. My room was next to the maintenance room and they were in and out of there. Of course again the doors banged over and over. They should use door stoppers or something because they (as in many of the HInn hotels) flip the lock hinge over and each time the door slams, it makes 2-3 bangs. It is loud and annoying. Especially with working late and then sleeping in, it is especially bad. Not to mention, it does not seem that it could be good to the door.

We stayed here some years ago and enjoyed the stay. We loved the updates of the rooms granite counter top in bathroom and the comfortable beds. I really liked the fresh squeezed orange juice machine and the biscuits and gravy. The only thing would have made our stay better, if the coffee was worth drinking! Other than that it was wonderful quick over night stay for price.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I was in Blairsville for a meeting. The hotel gave me a quiet place to relax. Convenient to several good local restaurants.

While this hotel was clean and comfortable, the lack of hot water in the mornings was very inconvenient. The front desk staff told our party that we would need to shower before 7 am if we wanted hot water. Since when does a hotel tell you when to get up in the morning? This was unacceptable to us, and while the hotel was willing to compensate us for our trouble, I'm sure there were other guests who were very uncomfortable. We will not stay there again because the hot water issue was a regular problem, not a one day problem. I do NOT recommend this hotel.
