First of all my arrival at reception was very welcoming, smiling faces and information. The room, except for a stain on part of the carpet was as was hoped for: clean, comfortable and a good size. The shower room/toilet was very good, well decorated and no sign of any cracked tiles or stains.
I would have liked a bit more in the way of choice at breakfast, but it was OK. I only stayed for one night, but I could see myself staying longer.

we always stay here when we come back to england, the room is clean and comfortable, the staff are always helpful, the breakfast is also good although they used to serve bacon but not any more. the only draw back is no where to sit and have a drink outside when the weather is nice.

TV remote didn't work. No plug for the sink. Bath took ages to fill....45mins I think it was. Headboard lights didn't work & what on earth was in the soap dispensers??? It smelled like industrial cleaner.
I breakfasted at 7am & there was very little choice by then....a few yoghurts, two croissants. Quite a few burned sausages & watery scrambled eggs though.
So overall no real big thing to complain about but a lot of little niggly things that added up to a less than enjoyable stay....I won't be back.

The room was not really ok to occupy as bulbs blown. Staff sorted quick with new room.
My only complaint is the sausages for breakfat. Tasted full of breadcrumbs.. Not much cooked selection also.

Stayed at this hotel for a one-night business stay as it was very convenient for the company I was visiting (if not much else!). The room was well maintained and quite unusual in design for a HI Express property, which is apparently down to the fact that, in previous lives, this hotel was owned by other chains. Whilst the room was quiet, warm and spacious, the bed was not that comfortable and the pillows were quite lumpy. Free Wi-Fi was a welcome bonus but the speed was not great. Breakfast was passable but served in a very spartan and unattractive 'Great Room' area which could do with a makeover. Overall though, for the price I paid, I have had worse nights elsewhere. Would visit again if in the area.

Excellent, large comfortable room. Staff were all very welcoming and helpful. Thought breakfast was very average as I'd enjoyed my meal the night before..

Myself and my daughter stayed for a friends party. The hotel was very convenient. Nice clean, comfortable room. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was self service, but there wasn't a large selection of hot food, just sausages,scrambled eggs and beans. Bacon and tomatoes would be good!
That said, I would definitely stay again.

I stayed with my young daughter and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely and we had a really relaxing stay. I would defiantly stay again.
