Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good experience Stayed here on business and was satisfied with the facility. The staff was very helpful, someone (Stephanie if i recall) even printed a map for me when I asked for directions to a safe place to do my morning run). Breakfast was pretty good, although I would have liked a few more options. Room was OK, spartan but clean and functional. Only real negative is the charge for internet access, £5 a day is ridiculous. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Clean, friendly staff, rooms need refurbishing I'm a regular visitor at this holiday inn express so am very familiar with the hotel and its staff. The staff are always helpful and polite. The facilities are to a good standard. My only grip is the bathroom sinks are generally blocked in the majority of rooms I've stayed in. The decor is now due for a repaint as well, but overall I would recommend this hotel. June 14, 2013

The breakfast was excellent - advertised as continental but there was a great choice which included scrambled eggs, sausage and beans. Would recommend this hotel without hesitation. June 1, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Adequate business hotel This property is a little older now, but still offers a clean and comfortable stay. Remembering it is a limited service hotel, expect to have to go out for dinner, and pick up your own ironing board from the front desk; however, staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast pretty good. Location is ideal for Burton, Derby, Lichfield meetings. Very little Priority Club recognition. April 23, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lovely staff and room, no breakfast!! Can't fault the staff or the accomodation, but we had chosen Holiday Inn because we would get breakfast in the morning. We got down in good time to find nothing but a few rock hard overcooked sausages left! Absolutly NOTHING else - unless we wanted just toast. Very disappointing, and I would probably pay less and go to the cheaper rival up the road next time I stay in Burton. April 19, 2013
