Staff was very friendly. Room was very comfortable. Hotel was quiet. Internet was weak, there was no pen in the room... and I needed one to write on a card. There was a small pad of paper provided, just no pen. The shower was nice, but slowly ran out of hot water... that was disappointing. Oh, and the vent fan in the bathroom sounded like a jet landing.. holy cow was it loud!!! But loved the pancake machine and the coffee, in the lobby, was fresh really hit the spot.

We have stayed at this Holiday Inn many times as we travel from Illinois to Mayo Clinic. It is clean, well kept, has a wonderful breakfast and the friendliest staff we have encountered. Last month we were greeted by DJ, a welcoming, smiling and friendly host. He even had cookies that he had baked sitting on the counter..What a nice way to greet tired travelers.

In contrast to most other Holiday Inn Expresses I've stayed at, this one seemed dated and cheap (e.g., plastic bathtub liner that one could depress with a finger).
It clearly needs a major refurbishmeent.

Tried all in the Madison area, this is the best choice but small rooms and pood food for the morning.

Out of the 100 + nights i stay at HIE this has to be top 5 worst night sleep i have ever had .
The insulation in exterior walls bad , it was windy outside plus the Ac/ heater unit rattled all night long .
I could hear the every footstep in the floor above , and not to mention the pipes in the wall , i could here rushing water in the wall every time the floor above flushed the toilet.
Its a good thing the pillows were soft because thats what i had over my head all night long.
Im a Platninum Elite member and will continue to stay with HIE but this one is off my list.
Sad thing is , I was told this was a fairly new hotel.

As a priority member over many years, staying at Holiday Inns all over the USA, I found my first egg breakfast served without bacon or sausage. I know times are tough but you need to re-think your food policy and relax on raising prices.

Our recent stay has made your place the perfect stopping point on our way home from Minneapolis. You staff was very friendly, especially the lady that brings in her homemade baked goods to go with breakfast. It is always a pleasure to meet truly friendly people, we will make this our stop from now on. Easy access to the Interstate and a nice variety of fast food places real close. Also very clean throughout the building.
