The management at Holiday Inn Express/Delafield worked very hard with me to ensure a very positive experience was enjoyed by a large group of relatives gathered for a recent out-of-town family celebration. Both management and staff went out of their way to focus on details of hospitality and accommodations, and went the extra mile to make our guests feel personally welcomed and assisted with unique travel needs. Special requests were cheerfully accommodated, including meeting the extra needs of disabled guests. Rooms were very comfortable and spacious; great having micros and refrigerators in many of the rooms too. GREAT breakfast and gathering space for friends and family to share special time together. Can't beat the "free breakfast".

My first stay here was my best hotel experience this year and exceeded my expectations in every way.
The staff provided helpful recommendations for local dining. Coffee and breakfast selections were fresh. The room was clean, quiet and well lit. Internet was reliable and the bed was comfortable.
This hotel has an agreement with the local anytime fitness to allow guests to utilize the club. Thank you for going through the extra effort to set this up and for my overwhelmingly positive experience! You have earned a loyal guest!

Overall it was a good stay, but the hotel staff should pay a little more attention to detail. The stairwells were not vacuumed well and the 3rd floor hallway had a strong bad oder. Our room smelled ok once we were inside. We stay at HIExpress often because my wife and kids like the pancakes. The pancake machine was down and it sounds like it had been down for a while. If you have a "signature" breakfast item, you should fix the machine and make sure that it is available. I will continue to stay at HIExpress locations in the future, but may choose to stay at a different one when in the Milwaukee area.

We have stayed in many hotels over the years and we felt this was one of the best bargains we've come across. We stayed during the holiday season and even that didn't elevate the price. It's very convenient to several restaurants and many stores. The lobby was cozy and inviting. Most importantly, the room was very clean and the bed was comfy. We will stay again being that we visit the area often.

First time to this location. I was traveling to see family over Thanksgiving.
I frequently stay at Holiday Inn Express's 30+ nights a year throughout the country and have to say this is the worst I've experienced in terms of both the facility and service since the refresh a couple of years ago.
The facility is a little tired. For example, I can't recall the last time I went to one without an automatic front door. Also the front door also serves as the employee smoking area which in and of itself wouldn't be bad if someone was actually staffing the front desk. In the breakfast area the pancake maker had a paper sign stating it was out of order.
Upon arrival there was no one at the desk and the phone was ringing off the hook. When finally someone arrived there was no recognition of my platinum status and I wasn't offered an upgrade. The room we received was adjacent to a noisy elevator. I did request a different room and was given another. Finally I requested a late check out, the latest they would do is 1. Usually as platinum my experience has been that 3 pm isn't a problem.
Now for the good it was close to shopping and cheap. To a certain degree I guess you get what you pay and the rooms were clean (ie didn't have to sleep on top of the covers), but this chain is usually consistent. I would put this location in the bottom 25% of the locations I have visited in terms of service.
