Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Relaxing stay A most wonderful place, plenty of opportunity to relax, get business completed. Then wonder down to the bar for a refreshing drink, enjoy some conversation with the other guests and bartender. Good food and great staff. Free WiFi and airport shuttle a big PLUS. I will stay here again. Did not get the chance to try the free breakfast, it opens to late for those of us with early departures. April 6, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 No response on missing cloth I have been staying with Holiday Inn for the last 5years. This is the worst i have ever had with IHG hotel. What i meant by worst is refering to the staff''s response on my missing T-shirt which never comes back after sending it for laundry. I gave my local mobile number in Dubai to the hotel staff and he promised to check upon it and contact my mobile number on the same day on the status whether they found it or not. However, no call from them at all after three days. I called the hotel on the third day and again, the hotel staff promised to check with the laundry department and call me back on the same day. Again, no one call back. I am still in Dubai as of now and it has been more than a week since i checked out from the Holiday Inn express Dubai Airport. After all these, it is not about the missing T-shirt anymore. it is not an superduper expensive T-shirt. It is about the service and response that the hotel staff has promised to delivered. I will not go back to Holiday Inn Express Dubai Airport anymore. April 2, 2013

Firs time staying at Holiday Inn in Dubai and I am not impress. I must say your staff and security personel need to improve and to be helpfulness and politeness to customers. I understand it is culture difference, but other hotel done quite well. Take your time explain your customer, and I understand you were busied. I hope you take note of my feedback seriously. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by smell i am glad this was sent, i stayed at your facility for 2 nights and i couldnt sleep at all. the smell of moisture in the rooms are unbearable. the smell of the carpet and the moist makes it hard to smell. please check that. that irritated my asthma and i kept on coughing for two nights. you either add a humidifier for the rooms or fix the quality of air. thank you March 21, 2013

I had one problem, which was with the reception staff when I paid my bill. I paid with a UK pound based credit card and specifically asked for the bill to be sent through in Dirhams. When asked to sign the credit card receipt I noticed that both the AED price and an equivilent GBP price was shown. I asked again and was assured that the bill would go through to my credit card in Dirhams, the GBP amount was just there for information purposes. The bill came through in GB Pounds and the rate of exchange was very unfavourable compared to the one my credit card would have used. I was very disappointed having just spent 6 lovely days in The Holiday Inn Resort in Penang. March 21, 2013

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Good customer service but poor listener Have a good experience with Holiday Inn in London but not this one. Room and breakfast is ok. Request toothpaste and toothbrush around 7.30pm. Someone knocked at my door so loud which eventually wake me up. He held a ironboard and iron which i have not requested. Promise come back with toothpast and toothbrush but never arrived. Probably i need to repeat my setence more than one time...will not recommend this hotel to any friend Tried to made a local call but only realised need a deposit to do so, why so hassle this hotel i don't understand March 13, 2013

When we arrved in the front of our room, we found a dirty plate in the fron of the room door. Also there was only one towel in the room ( for 2 people). Carpets in the room was dirty. I would say it is value for money and I stayed there for 6nights which would give you good time to evaluate hotel and service. The security was also perfect in its duty with the CCTV cameras. It has plenty of basement parking for guests with cars. It is conveniently located near the Airport but away from the city but Metro stn. is very close about 10min by walk from the hotel. I would like to say the breakfast spread was much better than what we received in Holiday Inn Express all over USA. Would like to suggest to have head shampoo separate than having it with body soap as it used to make hair dry. March 8, 2013

It is extremely over priced for the quality of the facilities, and the service was mediocre. The best thing about this hotel is its location, since it is right next to the airport, and the shuttle sercive they provide to the airport. If you are in a hurry to catch a late night or early morning flight, I would recommend it, otherwise, I would not stay there again. February 24, 2013

While the hotel was in remote location, outside the city, taxi and metro were available. Stores were far from the hotel. Room amenities were not enough. I have reviewed this same IHG property a few weeks back, and as i said, i went back there again last week (the location just works for me), and the room they gave me this time was just as i hoped the first one would be! The cleanliness and state of the room in general was as one would expect from such a chain of hotels, i actually thought to myself that they got this room from the other property that i compared it with before?! Unfortunately for HIE is that this time around, my 4-night stay was reduced to a 1-night and i checked out earlier; but next time i'm back (and i will do); i'm asking for the same room. Thanks! Convenience shop need to store more variety of food items. Breakfast service needs to be improved and boiled eggs is recommended to be on the breakfast menu everyday. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Near Airport Other than the advantage of being near the airport, and a free shuttle bus service every 30 minutes, the hotel does not make a happy stay for us, a young couple. First, we were not given the room that we booked for. We had reserved a Double Room with sofa bed via Booking.com. Instead, we were given a Twin Room without sofa bed, and there was only one towel inside the bath room, though the staff at the Reservation Counter knew there were two of us. The smoking smell was strong in this room too. We made a call to request for additional towel, but it never arrived until the next day. My partner had to use the hand towel after his shower instead. Second, breakfast choice was poor. The only cooked food was hard boiled eggs, tomatoes and harsh brown. The rest are crossaunts, muffins and cereals. If you are on a budget and only on a short stay, or just need a bed and breakfast near the airport without any expectation, then you can consider this hotel. January 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by well located for short stay the hotel is very easily reachable from the airport and offers a free shuttle service every 30 min. a metro station is also nearby. therefore this hotel is very suitable for short stay guests. the room was small but comfortable and clean. unfortunately the room was not tidied up after the first night as the cleaning service wanted to make our room up at 9:30 pm. which would be totally unacceptable if we would have stayed there longer. the breakfast was very good and offered a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from. internet access is available at a surcharge and the access time cannot be split over one day or more but has to be used up at once. the staff was very helpful and forthcoming. the atmosphere is very clean and impersonal which I find very appropriate for an airport hotel.
