Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Very good
Excellent facilities for price paid. Its Unfortunate that breakfast is not included in price. Good breakfast provided either continental or full Irish both at set prices which is expensive if u only want small breakfast but still very service.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by nclarkn Where's the wi-fi?
The restaurant on the top floor doesn't seem to open in the week (this is the second time I've stayed and eaten on the ground floor) which is disappointing as that's one of the selling points and the lobby area is a bit soulless.
Would expect wi-fi in the rooms in this day and age.
Seemed expensive for what you get as essentially you're well out of town and not much is going on around the hotel.
Generally the hotel is OK with clean and comfortable rooms but wished I'd stayed around Dublin Airport and driven up in the morning.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 Some issues
I have stayed several times at this hotel and, on the whole, I like it. But in my opinion it does have some issues that need to be addressed. One of those issues concerns the restaurant. In November 2012 I stayed two consecutive nights and had dinner both days in the restaurant on the top floor. Dinner on the first night (a Friday) was very good with steak cooked medium-rare as requested and presented beautifully. The second night (Saturday) I decided to order the same starter and main course. Apart from slapdash presentation the steak was not served anywhere near medium-rare. I mentioned it without actually turning it into a complaint. In January 2013 I stayed again, this time for one night. I again ate in the restaurant, hoping that this time the steak would be served medium-rare as requested. It wasn't. This time is was almost well done. I had just driven 600 km and simply wanted something to eat before going to bed for an early night. I did not complain but should have done. Another issue for me is the frequency at which the restaurant staff come to the table and ask ''is everything all right for you?" I appreciate attentiveness but there is a point where it simply becomes annoying. I found it distracting during my two-night stay in December and decided to keep count during my one-night stay in January. During the course of a 90-minute meal I was approached on no fewer than 14 separate occasions by three different staff members all wanting to know whether everything was all right for me. It simply gets on your nerves. Also, when I arrived on Saturday afternoon in January, I went straight to the room for a hot bath to unwind after my long drive. Despite hanging the ''Do not Disturb'' sign on the door, a member of staff knocked on two occasions because she wanted to place a bowl of fruit in the room. So what's the point of having a Do not Disturb sign? While some people may find these minor issues, for me (a frequent traveler and Priority Club member) they add up to a decision to give a different hotel a try next time I pass through Dundalk.

We stayed in the Crown Plaza Dundalk while attending a wedding in nearby Darver Castle. A complimentary bus service operated between the two hotels which was extremely helpful when you don't know the area. The Crown Plaza was excellent- from check-in to check out. All staff were pleasant and provided top-notch service. An enjoyable break!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tricia88 comfortable bed and room, great friendly staff.
The only thing that let the hotel down was a throw cushion on the bed, which was filthy dirty with spillage of some sort on the covers on both sides. I removed both cushions from the bed, and was left wondering if this was not noticed by the cleaning staff what else was not properly cleaned. it was my second time to stay at the Crown Plaza Dundalk and the first stay was excellent on all counts. Arrention to little things is the difference in whether people return or not.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Tolles Zimmer, Toller Ausblick, Tolles Essen
