I love to stay at this particular hotel and always enjoy my stay. The only complaint that I have is that if you get a room in the middle of the hotel on the pool side, you will be in for a noisier than normal night. I'm not sure if it is an air handler or something with the pool, but if you are near the pool it can be noisy. Other than that, I love this place!

Very relaxing, guite and convenient. Great value and location related to work. Staff is eager to assist with any need and very informative of the surrounding area.

Nice brand new HIE. Appreciated the friendly staff and accomidations. About 30 minutes from Spruce Knob and the National Forest and an hour from the NRAO in Green Bank. I recommend the hotel and plan to visit again in the summer. Beautifual area.

The staff was wonderful, property was immaculate, room was very nice, and the pool and hot tub were great!!!

The hotel is very nice and has the potential to be excellent, but from the moment we stepped into the lobby the service was disappointing. On Check In, the desk clerk was convinced our reservations was wrong and that a colleague had purposely messed it up. When I told him, I had booked the reservation over a week ago, he actually said, "well did you book it 2 months ago? Because these rooms have been reserved since then!" It turns out, the reservation was correct. When we got to our room, the bulb was burned out in the room, so it was pretty dark, the clerk said he'd be back with a bulb, but forgot.
Elkins was beautiful this Christmas and it was cold and snowing and packed with skiers, but the hotel, never turned on the fire. Not sure why they have a fire place. At breakfast, the staff seemed overworked and understaffed. They were short on food for the guests and if you asked a question they were rude, probably because they could not keep up! Even early before the rush, they seemed agitated; like they were preparing for doom! Finally, on check out the bill was wrong. They had over charged us $25 per night. When I questioned the bill and showed him my confirmation receipt he told me "I should be more careful when I initial at check in." I explained that my husband had checked us in and did not have the confirmation info. He continued to scold me, as he processed my reimbursement. (It may be important to note, this was a different clerk than at check in and 2 different breakfast crews...they were ALL rude) The hotel is clean and the accommodations have the potential to be excellent. They just need a top down smile check to bring them up to par with other Holiday Inn/Express locations. For now though, if you have the option, the Lewisburg Holiday Inn/Express was EXCELLENT and the staff, VERY FRIENDLY.

This is our families favorite hotel! We have stayed in many luxerious places over the years but are never as "at home" as we are at the Holiday Inn Express in Elkins. We have stayed at this facility atleast 4 times per year for many years, since its opening. The facility is spotless, the staff is always helpful, the cookies are always there to greet us, and the beds and bedding are our favorite of any hotel ever. We always have a good nights sleep here and actually get exciting to turn in for the night!!
Highly recommend to everyone. If you have never been to Elkins, this hotel is enough to bring you there for a visit!

warm friendly staff. very clean rooms. awesome experience overall. i looked at a bunch of reviews for the surrounding area and i believe holiday inn express got a 2?!? i thought to myself holiday inn a 2? cant be, so i gave it a shot and was very pleasantly surprised. power went out while i stayed there, but i got nothing but fantastic customer service. do not judge this book by its cover, holiday inn express in elkins gets a big thumbs up from me!
