Wow, I'm impressed. I stay at Marriott hotels over 250 nights a year, recently I had to make another choice when I came into Fresno CA. I was looking for problems and ready to be disappointed up front.
Humm, reminds me of my favorite hotels with Marriott. Possibly even better than Springhill or Fairfield, at a lower price.
The staff here is amazing, I've stood around the front desk more than any hotel desk in the last two years to just chat with the staff, Patrick is knowledgeable and helpful in answering my questions about reservations, rates, rooms and restaurants not to mention getting me the best and biggest room in the building,.
It was all perfect after checking in on my fourth week stay, then checking out my room, I think I was most impressed while leaving for dinner that day when guest services hostess Michelle called my attention and told me housekeeping notified engineering of an air conditioner not working in my room, they had completed service on it and requested if it failed during my stay to contact the front desk, they would take care if it right away. I appreciated that; just knowing in advance has avoided any frustration and disappointment on my part if the AC had failed over my stay.

I was upgraded to a suite for being a platinum member, which was very nice. I liked this HIE much better than the NW Herndon location that I stayed at the last time. The biggest difference between the two was location. The River Park HIE is in the area north of Fresno that has all of the nicer restaurants and shopping locations. I will stay here again if I return to Fresno again for work.

This was my second visit to this location. Briana was wonderful when I dealt with her via phone as well as in person. Felt like I have known her for a long time.
I had two rooms and they were lovely. Although booked solid, there was no noise and we were able to enjoy a lovely breakfast the next morning.
Will definitely stay there again.

Air conditioner never got below 78 degree when i had it set on 68. The beds were uncomfortable, pillows were awful and towels were old. Front desk girl was unorganized, unknowledgeable, and all over the place, it took about 15 minutes to check in. Breakfast was the nothing special didn't even have flavored coffee creamers. The "gym" had one of each machine and was small and machines were old and barely worked.

Have stayed at this property for 7 nights in the last 2 weeks.
Staff is great, room was very large. Bathroom is restocked everyday. Would stay here anytime I'm in fresno.

It took a while to check in. The lady with two daughters in front of me had made reservations for the wrong hotel. But the clerk called and talked to several people at the other hotel and got her reservation there canceled "no charge". This family looked like 100 miles of dirt road (VERY tired). If she hadn't gone out of the way, the lady would have probably driven across town to that hotel and might have had an accident.
When I was 6 or 7, my mom had the same experience taking us (without dad) to Disneyland. She had driven all day and in the dark was looking for a place to stay but all were booked up. She was about out of hope and energy when a clerk found us a room somewhere (pre-internet networking!). Who knows, maybe that clerk saved 4 lives. Driving dead tired can make you dead!
