I have been a preferred customer for many years. I typically am treated with the greatest respect and promptness.
I found, unfortunately, staff that were not polite. I found them short, curt and somewhat rude. As such, I will not plan on staying at the Hays Holiday Inn Express again.
I am sorry for the bad review, but your staff need to treat customers in a better fashion.

Simply put, I have stayed in many/most of the Holiday Inn Express hotels in KS and Hays has the best one. It's not that the hotel itself, as a structure is better, Hays just has a better staff who pays attention to the details that make the stay better.

After hours of fighting a terrible ice storm, this was a great stop. Food in the area. Walmart next door. Except the non-closing drapes to block the Walmart parking lot lights, this was about perfect.
The priority club gift of a bottle of water was pretty weak.

Hotel was clean and quiet, location is not far from most dining establishments. Overall a better experience than some of the other hotels in the area. Staff was great to work with, my schedule extended my stay twice while I was there and they were able to accommodate me with short notice. Highly recommend this hotel if you are working in the area or passing through.

We were on vacation and passing through and stayed in many Holiday Inn Expresses, this one was by far the best one out of them all. It was a little hard to find at first since because our GPS didn't recognize the address, but once we did that facility was new, beds were comfortable, and the pool area was clean and very nice. It wasn't far from the highway at all. People were great and helpful. Great place!

Not one of my better HIE stays, but nothing worth complaining too much about.
Inconsistent billing practices vs other regional HIE's which can be somewhat irritating.
Rooms are nice. Exercise room had two working treadmills which is a plus. Breakfast offerings seemed a little less than other HIE's but still ok.
I definitely won't avoid it in the future.

The room were nice like a new HIE should be I have no issues. Nice work out area. The price is a bit over priced. With being on a budget with work need to watch prices.
