Universal Studios Orlando is much more than just a theme park. Since opening in 1990 with a single park, it has since evolved into one of the most fun and frequently-visited places in the United States. In fact, it's actually the largest resort location in Orlando, featuring over 25 unique rides and experiences, including The Incredible Hulk Coaster®, Dragon Challenge™, MEN IN BLACK™ Alien Attack™, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man®, and the Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket®.
In addition to some of the world's best gravity defying and heart throbbing rides, Universal Studios is famous for Kids' rides like the Caro-Suess-el™, and hosts the Cinematic Spectacular and the Superstar Parade that lets young and old alike interact with their favorite movie characters of all time.
Perhaps the most exciting addition for fans of wizards and fantasy adventure is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™. Conjure your inner Harry Potter by going on a tour of Hogwarts, complete with personalized wizarding wands and a mug of delicious butterbeer, which, of course, is alcohol-free and enchanting!
Visiting University Studios Orlando
Because it is such a popular destination for families, Universal Studios is busiest during the summer months and during school vacations in December and April. As a result, if visiting during this time period, be prepared for longer waits and longer lines. However, the park does offer an express pass to go to the front of the line for an additional cost.
Universal Studios opens daily at 9 a.m. and the rides continue to operate until the sun sets and night begins to roll in around 9 p.m. However, once the rides shut down nights in the park come alive with the sounds of concerts and bands performing. Because there are a number of restaurants offering all different types of food in the park, you do not have to leave during the day to eat.
The Universal Super Star Shuttle transports visitors from the airport to the park and/or hotels in the Universal area. As an extra perk, the shuttle offers rides to some of the other top attractions in Orlando like SeaWorld and Wet 'n Wild Park.
