Basketball is a phenomenon in the Hoosier State – almost like a religious experience. It makes perfect sense, then, that Bankers Life Fieldhouse, home of the Indiana Pacers National Basketball Association men’s basketball team and the Indiana Fever Women's National Basketball Association team has the honor of being ranked as the finest NBA arena in the country, according to Sports Business Journal.
In addition to the basketball love widely available at the fieldhouse, it is also home ice for many Indiana Ice United States Hockey League games as well as a venue for concerts, rodeos, ice skating exhibitions, wrestling matches, and other major events held in the city of Indianapolis.
Box office hours at the fieldhouse are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The box office keeps later hours and is open some Sundays when there are scheduled events.
Bankers Life Fieldhouse originally opened in November 1999 as Conseco Fieldhouse. The name was changed in December 2011.
The arena has different seating capacities, depending on the event. For instance, the arena can seat 19,000 for concerts, 18,165 for basketball games, and up to 12,300 for ice hockey.

There are plenty of excellent dining opportunities all within easy walking distance of the fieldhouse, including Old Spaghetti Factory, the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, Hotbox Pizza, Harry and Izzy’s, and Kilroy’s Bar N’ Grill.
Parking is available at the Circle Centre Mall parking garage and other similar garages in the downtown area for a fee.
