What is Niagara Falls
Many people don't realize this, but Niagara Falls is actually three individual waterfalls: American Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Bridal Veil Falls. Horseshoe Falls is almost entirely on the Canadian side of the divide, and is the strongest waterfall in North America. American and Bridal Veil Falls are on the American side.
They’re all located at the end of the Niagara river and dump water into Lake Ontario.

There is a bridge that connects Niagara Falls, NY and Niagara Falls in Canada, so visiting both sides is common.
