Visiting Georgia Tech
Transportation to and from Georgia Tech is easy. Most taxis service the campus. Atlanta’s city rail and bus system, called MARTA, has regular service around the area. Should you choose to drive, there's parking around the major event spaces. The school also has a series of carts and trolleys to travel between campus buildings. For those staying in one of the many hotels near GA Tech, shuttles are often available to take you directly to and from the campus.
College food might get a bad rap, but there's plenty of great food around Georgia Tech. If you're looking for a classic spot that's right next to the campus and dorms, stop by The Varsity to grab a quick hamburger or hot dog. Perhaps the most well-known restaurant in Atlanta, it’s an interesting landmark in its own right. If you're looking for a sit-down restaurant, Chinese Buddha has a little something for everyone and boasts a great family atmosphere.
