The Historic Fox Theatre is a downtown Atlanta icon. Known to locals as the Fabulous Fox, this theatre was once used exclusively as a movie house. Now it's home to some of the best live shows and events in the city, boasting more than 300 performances a year.
Because of The Fox, residents and visitors enjoy internationally renowned concerts, Broadway shows, stand up comedians, and dance performances in an intimate setting. The Fox is consistently ranked as one of the most beautiful and prestigious theatres in the entire country, which helps explain why it’s so popular with performers, and why over 750,000 patrons visit annually.
Islamic and Egyptian architectural styles are mixed throughout the building, for a unique look that cannot be found anywhere else. The ballroom in particular is known for its ornate decorations, which were designed to resemble an Arabian courtyard and a beautiful sky filled with 96 glittering stars.
Of course, the building wouldn't be so popular if it weren't for the experience available inside. Holding 4,678 seats, The Fox allows larger shows and performances to visit the venue while ensuring guests enjoy a close-up view of the action. There's not a bad seat in the house, which includes a main level, a mezzanine level, and a balcony level for improved viewing even during sold-out events.
The Fox Theatre is on the National Historic Register, and it has become one of the most iconic and beloved landmarks in the city. While other historical movie palaces have long since disappeared from the city, the Fox remains in all of its glory. In fact, during the summer, the Fox Theatre returns to its movie house roots with a film festival. A pre-show sing-along, organ music, and classic cartoons make the charming, nostalgic event fun for everyone.
While the venue is best known for the long list of entertaining shows it hosts throughout the year, guests can book the theatre for private events, including weddings, sweet 16 parties, and corporate events. This timeless venue boasts a history and charm for guests that can't be topped by any other event space in Atlanta.

We stayed at Hotel Indigo for the recent Jeff Foxworthy concert at the Fox Theatre. Everything was awesome. We knew in advance that the bathrooms were small, so we weren't surprised. It was ok[More]
because we understood the limitations in renovating a historic building. We were disappointed that there wasn't a mini-fridge. (would be the only real change I would make) We were in a corner room with awesome views of the Fox. We will definitely return to Hotel Indigo next time we are downtown for an event at the Fox. I had a very nice stay. The hotel is very close to the marta, across from Emory hospital, an easy walk to to downtown (during the day, otherwise I felt safe on marta).
I booked a room with a view and[More]
was not disappointed. Even though it was a double room, we were only provided towels and coffee for one. That was quickly put right with a call to housekeeping. Coffee in the room is nice, but the free, self serve coffee downstairs on the way out is a great amenity. There were staff members all through the lobby, welcoming guests, adding a friendly welcome with a sense of security. I didn't have a car, so I can't speak to parking. Overall, a very nice experience. [Less]
