The Georgia Aquarium houses more than 100,000 individual animals, and the population represents more than 500 animal species. Filled with 10 million gallons of fresh and salt water, it was the world’s largest aquarium when it first opened in 2005.
Local Atlantans and tourists alike love visiting Georgia Aquarium. The stunning facility is huge, and the exhibits often require more than one visit to fully appreciate.
Here are just some of the great attractions that the Georgia Aquarium has to offer you:
Journey with Gentle Giants: One of the aquarium’s most popular offerings, visitors can swim or dive in the Ocean Voyager exhibit next to whale sharks and manta rays. Make sure to book tickets in advance for this one-of-a-kind exhibit!
AT&T Dolphin Tales: Learn all about these graceful and beautiful animals with an incredible performance and story that takes the audience on an exciting, interactive trip across the oceans. While Dolphin Tales is included with general admission, advance reservations are required due to the extreme popularity of the show.
Southwest Tropical Diver: Here is your chance to see several tropical coral reefs, ocean denizens such as sand eels that seem to just pop out from under the sand, sea horses, and jellyfish.
Sun Trust Georgia Exhibit: This exhibit is a hit with the kids and the young at heart because it's a very interactive exhibit. It features touch pools where you can interact with live sting rays, sea stars, horseshoe crabs, and shrimp.
In addition to these special shows, the aquarium is also home to several large habitats that feature the fish of Gray's Reef and a loggerhead sea turtle. You can also find tropical lionfish, or have a conversation with the exhibit's 3-D mascot Deepo.

that sausage...and all HIN's serve that stuff. The pancake machine is awesome and tastes great. Coffee is good most of the time...sometimes it seems watered down. When it's good...it's really good coffee. The rest of breakfast items are very good, such as the eggs and muffins and pastries. Just a few changes are needed to make HIN's breakfast "great"! [Less]
