Located along the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario, Mississauga is Canada's 6th largest city and has been named first in the financial publication fDi Magazine's 'Mid-sized Cites of the Future'. This exciting town is a great vacation spot for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway or action-packed weekend.
Arts and Culture
Mississauga is a great location for people who enjoy arts and culture. Check out the Art Gallery of Mississauga for a glimpse of Canadian art. This unique art gallery offers free admission and includes unique artist projects that are engaging for people of all ages. Or, catch a show at the Living Arts Center. Located in the town's downtown district, this multipurpose center offers performances ranging from comedy shows, opera, symphony, and jazz entertainment. History lovers will love a tour of the Benares Historic House and its 160 years of Canadian history.
Sports and Recreation
Mississaugans love to play as evidenced by the city's multitude of recreational areas. Enjoy a round of golf at BraeBen Golf Course's 18-hole Championship Course, or enjoy the community favorite Lakeview Golf Course, a two-time host for the Canadian Open.
The city also includes an incredible 15 indoor skating rinks. During the winter, people flock to the popular outdoor rink at Mississauga Celebration Square. Throughout the year, the Mississauga Celebration Square is packed full of family-friendly events such as weekly Farmers Markets, movie nights, and musical acts. For a quieter retreat, escape to one of the city's over 522 parks and 225 km of trails and woodlands. These trails are an excellent place to enjoy cycling, jogging, walking, inline skating, and, during the winter months, cross country skiing.
Mississauga is also home to the popular Hershey Centre. This multipurpose sports and entertainment facility has hosted a number of exciting high profile events including Skate Canada, national and world hockey championships, and a ton of sold out concerts.
Mississauga is a shopper's paradise, and it's many diverse shops attract people throughout the region. Stop by Square One Shopping Centre, one of Canada's biggest shopping malls with over 350 retail stores and services. This mall attracts an astounding 24 million visits annually and is one of the only such places in the Greater Toronto Area. But for better deals, check out the Dixie Outlet Mall and its fantastic selection of great products at bargain deals. Interestingly, this enclosed mall operates on 100 percent renewable energy.

I know there is always room for improvement but there isn't one thing I would change with our stay at this hotel. This was our first time in Toronto and I am so glad I pick this property. The[More]
location is excellent for everything Toronto. We had a car but walked just about everywhere. The hotel smells so wonderful when you enter, all of the staff was very nice and welcoming. Ibrahim, our bellman went above and beyond. We were celebrating our 15th anniversary and we were met with a special anniversary dessert and a bottle of champagne when we checked in. I know some people expect this all the time but we sure felt special being recognized on our special day in this manner. The room was fantastic with a great view of the CN Tower. It was just an all around excellent experience and I can't wait until next year to come back again. This was one of the best vacations we had in a long time. Thank you so so much for being a part of it! [Less]
The food was very good on both days and nights we were there. The service was excellent as tables were cleared quickly and readied for the next guest and the buffet was replenished when needed. I was[More]
disappointed as some guests did not clear their dishes and garbage but it is not a perfect world and the server did it without complaint. [Less]
