Plan your next trip to the island of Taiwan, and here’s what you’ll want to do while staying there. Take a morning visit to the National Palace Museum. Although Taiwan is relatively small in size, this museum in Taipei houses the biggest collection of Chinese artwork and artifacts. It’s a chance to learn about Chinese history and see many ancient Chinese pieces. One of the largest agriculture and tourism areas in Taiwan is the East Rift Valley. This area — sometimes referred to as the “land of milk and honey” — is known for being where the Eurasian plate and the Philippine plate meet. The first is the largest continental plate, while the latter is the largest oceanic plate. Have dinner at a themed restaurant, like at Barbie Café or a Hello Kitty café, and then check out the local night markets. Taiwan’s night markets have good street foods and some wacky specialty drinks.
