I booked the London Marathon weekend because I have used it before and always found it to be excellent and most important completely stress free. Sadly this was not the case this year. I arrived at[More]
3.45pm to sign in and drop off my gear only to find that no room was available. I explained that I had an appointment to go to and was told that a room might be ready in 20 mins. I checked after 30 mjns , but still no room so I made a fuss. A more senior staff member expressed concern and agreed an up graded room which was fine but not a good start to the weekend.
I collected my marathon coach ticket on Saturday and was in reception at 6.45am for a coach at 7.00am.Coaches came and went, all for Thomas Cook clients. I,and two others regularly asked the staff about the coach and were assured that it would come. At 7.20 and with the last T Cook coach about to go we were advised that the coach had left and to talk to the duty manager!!!!. In desperation we talked to the T Cook Rep who was sympathetic and gave us the three spare seats on their last coach. Given that we all had tickets this is an unacceptable situation which caused us unwanted stress when we were trying to relax for the race.I am sure you will want to investigate how this situation arose and I look forward to your reply [Less]
