upon seeing it was an Inn of inner hallways. Standing in the quiet elegance of the lobby was a serene and kind Receptionist with a smile. She made me feel I found the right place. Quickly and carefully, she booked me a very nice room. The scent of cookies filled the air. After listening to my short story of relief in finding her there to welcome this dusty freeway traveler at 9:30 in the night, she offered me cookies and milk. That made me smile and feel good inside as I carried them up the elevator to my room. I opened the door to find everything in order and very clean with plenty towels, a bathtub and shower. The cookies and milk with a few pages read in my book underneath the downy comfort of the bed so cozy turned my travel story into a happy ending. I was safe and sound, ready to drive another 7 hours home the next morning after a good breakfast in The Holiday Inn. [Less]
