Overall this location lives up to most of the positive reviews others have shared. After staying here twice I can offer the following comments:
1 - Location - Great if you want to take a long run[More]
into the adjoining neighborhoods, but there is absolutely nothing within walking distance of this property. I know this is California and driving is the norm, but then again there are many other hotel options in Lake Forest which offer at least a few dining options with an easy walk. Be prepared to walk at least one mile if staying here.
2 - Furniture - For both of my stays, the quality of the furnishings (exclusive of bed) was average at best. For my current stay the couch and chairs are tired, worn, and a bit dirty. A bit of a turnoff. Overall the rooms are dated and lack some essential features (e.g., not enough power outlets)
3 - The breakfast, while included in the rate, is just average. I really do not see why this feature is receiving so many positive reviews - like everything else it depends what you are comparing to.
Nice staff and relatively clean property but would not go out of my way to stay here again. [Less]
