Minneapolis is a city that welcomes visitors of all stripes. From stunning skyscrapers to an abundance of natural settings, art and history buffs, outdoors enthusiasts, young families and everyone in between will find a little something here to suit their tastes.
Orient yourself to the city with a walk across the Mississippi River on the limestone and granite Stone Arch Bridge, the only known bridge of its kind. From here, you won’t be far from Nicollet Island, a great place for a picnic.
If it’s history you crave, get a sense of the city’s proud past at the Mill City Museum -- housed in the ruins of the old Washburn Mill -- where you can scale to great heights on the elevator tour and discover the storied history of old industrial Minneapolis. Or, venture even further into the past at the Bell Museum of Natural History.
Seize the opportunity to see Rembrandt and Picasso at the world-class Minnesota Institute of the Arts where you’ll also find a stunning collection of menacing Terracotta Warriors. Explore the multiculturalism of the city at the Museum of Russian Art and the American Swedish Institute, both filled with cultural exhibits and artifacts that will fascinate. Walk through the enchanting Minneapolis Sculpture Garden or admire the contemporary artwork on display at the Walker Art Center.
Minneapolis’ hungry guests will want to head to Uptown for the best dining in the city. The aptly named “Eat Street” is sure to put any rumbling stomachs to rest. While you’re there, take advantage of the great deals and fashion finds to be had in the area’s shops. The nearby Mall of America is also a much-loved shopping destination, catering to a wide range of tastes and styles.
What Minneapolis is perhaps greatest known for is its beautiful surrounding setting. Situated on the banks of the Mississippi River and part of the Chain of Lakes, you’ll find seemingly endless opportunities to canoe, kayak, hike, bike or go for a swim.
While the many entertainment options might be difficult to choose from, one decision that should be easy to make is booking your stay with an IHG hotel, where you’ll be treated to the best in service and comfort, all at a price you can afford.

was excellent! We had a couple parties stay at the hotel and the rest in our group met us at the bar for drinks and dinner and then we met up there after the concert we attended. It worked out perfectly. I live in the Minneapolis metro area, but would definitely stay here again while attending a downtown event and would recommend to others. I do not care at all for the IHG website and feel it's very antiquated which is why I rated ease of booking a bit low. It is also why I have hesitated to stay at other hotels within the brand. If that improved, the group would be a top choice. [Less]

things were very well managed and comfortable. Your staff quickly realized that we were looking for a quiet area to relax and get good rest and assigned ua a room separated from an area in the hotel where a sizable group were housed. This was thoughtful and we appreciated it. Your bed and furnature were extremely comfortable and your heating/cooling unit was quite quiet and effective. Thank you! [Less]
