Nevada’s biggest claim to fame is its gambling and live entertainment. But it boasts more attractions than the sparkling lights on the Las Vegas Strip and hundreds of casinos found throughout the state.
Do make time for Las Vegas though, as it’s great for shopping, live concerts and other entertaining shows, pool time and gambling. Stop by the Las Vegas Bellagio Fountains to see the free dancing water show that’s synced with music and lights.
Spend a day or two outdoors at Lake Tahoe where you can enjoy swimming, jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and going on a boat ride. There are also trails for hiking and biking, and for those seeking some adventure, go parasailing over the lake.
Also in Nevada are the Hoover Dam and the National Automobile Museum. Take a tour or just take a drive or walk over the Hoover Dam, and then in Reno at the National Automobile Museum, ooh and aah over the more than 200 cars on display, including racecars, sports cars, the classics and some celebrity cars.
