Located in the Ozark foothills, Tulsa has something of a country reputation, but is actually a vibrant arts destination to boot. Get to know the walkable, Art Deco styled downtown on foot, and, while you’re at it, don’t miss the Philtower and Boston Avenue Methodist Church. Next, carve out a half day for the Philbrook Museum of Art. Housed in the Italian-style villa of an oil baron, the museum hosts art from around the world and provides lushly manicured gardens for strolling patrons to enjoy. Finish off your artsy day with the Gilcrease Museum and its massive treasure trove of American Western Art, or switch gears altogether with a visit to the Woody Guthrie Center and its collection of memorabilia and exhibits in tribute to the beloved Oklahoman native. Rejuvenate with a bike ride along the River Parks before making an homage to see the curious creatures of the Tulsa Zoo, which is one of the largest and most popular in the United States.
Pick up some lunch supplies at the Cherry Street Farmer’s Market to fuel up for a sampling of Tulsa’s varied shopping experiences. From Utica Square to the Tulsa Promenade and Woodland Hills Mall, Tulsa is a little slice of retail heaven. For ambience, cafes, and galleries, follow the locals to pedestrian-friendly Brookside, where you’ll find a smorgasbord of different cuisines. With honky tonk bars featuring Tulsa’s famed country and blues to authentic Mexican eateries, Tulsa has you covered with a range of nightlife. Indulge in more of the arts and entertainment scene with a show at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center or the BOK Center. For an exciting night under the floodlights, grab a seat at the ONEOK Field and root for the home team before the friendly crowds spill out into the streets after the big game.

Unwind after a hard day of work in our Red Fork Restaurant and Lounge. Enjoy a nice cocktail, beer and some onion rings while viewing your very own personal television located in each of the restaurant's booths. If you need to work late in your room, don't hesitate to order from room service and have your meal delivered to your room.
Our check in started off a little rocky because the king suite we were assigned to only had a king bed. It was a very strange room with lots of space but no pull out couch, no couch at all. Only one[More]
tv and a big empty space. So, we had to wait until another room was ready. This all happened around 5pm. The redeeming part of this review is that the manager was extra helpful and gave us vouchers to the restaurant for drinks and appetizers. He was very nice and apologized while explaining that they were busier than usual and many people were waiting for rooms hours after check in should have started. So, not sure whose fault that was, but the manager made it more pleasant by offering vouchers and a sincere apology for the delay. Then, things really bumped up a notch when we visited the restaurant. Our waitress, Jami, was one of the sweetest waitresses we've ever had. She was so personable and helpful and attentive. Cannot say enough good things about her. She epitomizes what customer service should be about. I should also mention the staff at breakfast. They were also so helpful and our waitress kept offering to refill my soda, which was so thoughtful. I didn't' get her name but she was also amazing. So, I went away from this experience at the Holiday Inn with a renewed belief that good customer service does exist. For that, I would give this hotel a high rating. Good job Holiday Inn Tulsa City Center!!! [Less]
