Ive stayed at this hotel several times.
The facility is good and the room comfortable.
The service is quirky and unpredictable, though not disastrous.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rick51 very comfortable room for 3 adult family members
Recommend this hotel for business and leisure travellers. We were very comfortable and appreciated the easy access to most significant sites in Jerusalem. Staff were professional and helpful; they answered all questions related to our explorations as independent travellers.

My wife and I had high hope for our two visits to this property as the purpose of the trip was to make a pilgrimage to the Holy Land and to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday which fell on the day we arrived for the first time, but alas our hopes for a good stay were dashed right from the start. The restaurant staff aggressively wanted to know which tour group we were part of, and were almost taken aback when told that we were independent travellers, and that we would like to have some choice in where we sat to eat.
Restaurant was overpriced for the buffet evening meal which was adequate but nothing fancy. My wife has a dietary problem and asked for gluten free bread, which you would have thought in an international hotel should not have posed any problems. The average time for it to arrive was 20 minutes, and the worst was nearly 35 and only happened after the sous chef got involved and promised to see personally that it arrived. He delivered it along with his sincere apology for the bad service. We had almost given up by then. Yoghurt was available at breakfast but not labelled in English so difficult to find out what flavours.
This is the only hotel I have ever stayed at when I arrived at the swimming pool at 5 pm and asked for towels for my wife and I to be told that they had none and we should come back later when they might have some. They could not give an indication when that might be.
Bathroom was not cleaned particularly thoroughly, and sink tap was not fitted properly and was loose. I was not recognised as a Priority Club member and even though I had booked through the IHG website I had to fill in the forms on arrival, and on check out my details did not show on the receipt, other than giving me US nationality, something which I do not have nor have any desire to have. Points have still not appeared.
Would not stay here again and will recommend to others that they don't either. Very poor indeed.

Really excellent Hotel, front desk were keen to help with anything,
Only negative comment is that the hotel is kosher (a good thing I'm sure) but as a vegitarian I found the on-site Indian restaurant to be not so good. Due to Kosher laws meat and milk can't be mixed, but it did mean that my vegitarian curries were really rather blend and tasteless without any dairy. Fairly minor point, but if you're used to full flavoured British curries, I would go off premise.

Not the best hotel in Jerusalem, and not the best Crowne Plaza, but definitely on par with the Crowne Plaza brand.
The usual comfort regarding bed quality and pillow selection is what you get at the Crowne's finest location in Asia.
However, the hotel is a bit old, the should waive the car park charge for hotel guests, and the showers need an upgrade to something a bit more contemporary.
Hot tubs in the swimming pool area would be a big plus too.
Location is fantastic and walking distance to the city tram and Shuk Machneh Yehuda, Jerusalem's hottest scene.
Enjoy.

Effrat the receptionist is exceptionally helpful. Her advice/suggestions for the new tourists like us are very very useful. The other receptionists are also very friendly and helpful.
The presence of Effrat makes the stay in this hotel worthwhile.
