Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Nickle and dime The hotel is beautiful, the staff friendly and the service was great. Excellent location to the Scotia bank Place and shopping or events in Kanata. The part that I was not impressed with was upon reserving my room (room with 2 double or queen beds) I was told that they had none left as they were all booked. Fair enough, I was then told that if I wanted to upgrade to an executive room on the executive floor, for more money, they had those rooms available. They were to have more room nicer beds etc. Well I would hate to see the regular rooms because the executive room we had was normal compared to my many stays in many different hotels. The icing on the cake was when I was charged .53 cent for each local call.....again never a charge at the many other hotels I have staid at. So if you have money you want to waste this is a most excellent hotel to stay at. June 9, 2013

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Overall Satisfaction with Staff and Stay Good Day. Rest assured if you're staying at this property you will receive excellent service from the staff. In particular Paul at the front desk. He handled requests and greeted guests by addressing us by name. Although just a short three night stay this property was a relaxing pleasant hotel experience. Many thanks too to those working behind the scenes including housekeeping staff and others that keep operations going. Recommend consideration and selection of HI Ottawa Kanata ! Regards. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by noisy guests, etc. while the room was comfortable, there was a lot of noise from the hallway, with guests running up & down talking to each other from room to room! Then i awoke in the middle of the nite, with a bright light shining in the window: i got up to close the curtain; but discovered only the sheers closed-- so had trouble sleeping again! May 31, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great overall experience This was my second stay, we always get a jacuzzi room, the room and comfort were fantastic, it was a very relaxing experience! The restaurant on site is fabulous, the food and service are amazing both for dinner and breakfast. The convenience of being able to catch a bus directly to the Scotia Bank Place is great as well. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Incredible overall stay! I work for a company who frequents this hotel and the staff is by far the most friendly and welcoming staff I've ever been to at any hotel chain. By the 3rd day they had all pretty much remembered my name and greeted me as I came in from my work up in Canada. The Grafiti's restaurant has incredible food, however pricey, but completely worth every dollar spent! I would HIGHLY recommend staying here for the professional and friendly attitudes of the staff to include the incredible house keeping staff (they do a thankless job, but without them the hotel would be nothing, so I highly appreciate everything they do!! Even left a small gift for them in my room last time I stayed!) and I am eager to stay there again on my next trip up! May 21, 2013
