Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by comfortable room, good service The room was ready when I arrived, early. King size bed was very comfortable, as was room temperature. Third floor room was near elevator. A bit noisy, but that was due to convention people talking loudly in hallway. Food at the convention banquets, lunches and dinners, was very good. Breakfast was very good as well. Staff was accommodating. I would recommend it to friends and to fellow Lions. June 6, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by About customer service at check-in We arrived about one hour early, and hoped we could check in early, but was told that room was not ready. We had no problem with that considering check in was at 4:00, until we asked if the room would be ready by 4:00. We were told by check in that possibly not, and we asked what time it would be ready. They said it might be as late as 5:00 or 6:00 ????? We said why would a room that was reserved ahead not be ready by the 4:00 check-in if check- out time was 11:00. We felt that there was plenty of time to have our room ready, which we had booked for 3 nights, and then later had to book for another night because of family reasons. We were told that priority club members were allowed to stay later (even as late as 2:00 or 2:30) and not have to check out at 11:00. Excuse me, but if I have reservations for a Holiday Inn for 3 or 4 nights, or even one night, and they are reserved, I don't expect that my room is not ready at check in time. That is uncalled for. We came from Illinois and traveled about 500 miles on our second day, we wanted to get in our room by check - in time and rest and relax, not have to wait in a lobby. After complaining, we sat in lobby and looked straight into employees at desk, and we were told at first there were no other rooms ready, and after complaining, it wasn't long before one of them said oh, a room just came up???? I'm sorry we didn't believe that, and if we hadn't complained, we fully believe we would have still been sitting there waiting. This kinda turned me and my husband against Holiday Inns, which we always have liked and used. We'll see in future. I can guarantee that if this happens again, we will no longer use Holiday Inn.
