Reception staff were efficient and helpful. Good restaurant experience with attentive staff at both breakfast and dinner. Items were replenished quickly when necessary. Room was not as quiet as we would have liked as it had a connecting door but luckily our neighbours were relatively quiet. Enjoyed our stay and will return.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Tom713 WORST HOTEL EVER
It saddens me to write this as I am a keen user of IHG ESTABLISHMENTS BU THIS ONE HAS LET THEM DOWN.
I checked in for a three night stay checked out after one something I have never done before
I look for three things in a hotel room comfort cleanliness and the ability to relax the bed was like a billard table and the pillows where broken the tv was old and had lines going up and down the screen, when I asked if someone could look at it iwas told they would try and get somone to but in the meantime just which it on and off that would work.
the bathroom seemed fine until you drew the shower curtain back and saw the regrouted broken tiles the mould behind the taps or te rust coming off the handrail
I went for a meal asked for a table which was fine until I asked to use my Tastecard I was then asked to book which was fine but was not allowed to book less then 45 minutes so I was sent back to the bar by a manager with a peurile and annoying grin to wait and look at a almost empty resturant.
This was the straw that broke the camels back.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by BritishRVer Caring and happy staff
We were upgraded to an executive room which was a little on the small side - difficult to imagine it being any bigger than a standard room.
The bed and pillows were quite hard and the staff went out of the way to resolve this, utilising a quilt from another room as a mattress 'topper' and supplying extra soft pillows too - great!
The hotel has a smashing little gym and indoor heated pool, a nice restaurant menu and a great bar with very friendly staff all round.
I lost my wallet and called to ask them to check the room. The housekeeper found it and it was returned immediately by recorded delivery - thank you!!

Since I got home I discovered the hotel had charged the Dinner I paid cash for to my card.
Since I cant find the receipt I am unable to dispute the payment.
Even more annoying is that when I checked out no mention was made of this. I only discovered it when I got my statement.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by JMH1958 Staff welcoming, bathroom very poor, dinner menu limited
I stay in IHG hotels 50+ times per year and have to say this was my one and only disappointing experience. The bathroom was grubby with mould in the grouting and around the bath. The ceiling was discoloured and the toilet flush barely operable. The last thing you would want to do is linger and relax with a hot soak at the end of the day.
One of the chain that is in much need of a refurbishment...at least my room.
As a Platinum member I have come to expect more and quite frankly felt let down and my loyalty not acknowledged.
Would not stay again or recommend...first time I have felt this way

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Anne1958 DIFFICULT ACCESS FOR THE DISABLED
my mother is 91 and walks with a walking frame, very slowly, but I was able to drop her at the front door, where I had to leave the car, whilst we booked in and unloaded. I too am disabled, but can walk, with a walking stick. there was no one to help us with our bags, so I had to struggle. They told us at the desk where out rooms were, but even though classed on the ground floor, there were three sets of steps that my mother could not cope with but there was a platform that she could push her wheels onto, and would take her down the steps, like a lift. it was a long and arduous process, and we were told someone would be available to help mum every time she wanted to use them, BUT, there was NO one there, when it was time for the evening meal, so as it was too much for mum to cope with, she could not go to the restaurant for her meal. by the time I got the the restaurant there were NO tables!!!!!!!! i was told I had to wait 1.5 hours. Was this due to NOt having on a posh dress????????? i was told to go to the bar! i was able to order from there, and ordered my mothers meal, but I had to carry it to room 16, as she could not get to the bar. That evening I found that I was able to park my car at the side, which made it easier in the morning, for mum as much closer, but she was still NOT able to go for breakfast so I had to cope with the steps, and take her breakfast to the room. Food was good, and the young man in the bar was very pleasant, but the staff at reception on arrival could of been more informative, and just left us to cope on our own. Would I stay again, probably not. The bathroom was ideal for a disabled person. but life is very lonely when trapped in the room, due to different levels to cope with and no help. We wont be coming back. I dont think this should have a 4 star rating either, it should just scrape in on a 3 star. the room needed a good clean, dust dirt and grime in all the corners.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Thenselva Comfortable bed, Excellent breakfast, Need to maintain the toilet
We stayed for three nights. The location was good. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with lots of items. Wi Fi service was good.
The toilets were not well maintained. We had problems with toilet flush. It was not working properly. I was surprised to see a old style TV in the room. There were very few channels available. Coffee mugs were not cleaned properly.
Except for these problems, we did have a pleasant stay.
