Great hotel for families with 2 children at very reasonable price including breakfast. Very close to Stuttgart airport and major Autobahn A8 and A81. Also Stuttgart downtown is not more than 20 minutes by car.

I've been to this hotel for several times, every time I like it. Because the price is reasonable, and it has many english channels.

Jacked up price of more than double the usual price without added value is no easy thing to stomach.
Otherwise the Hotel is what it promises. Good service with no frills, a decent room, and a good nights' sleep.

Stayed there one night before flying off from Stuttgart Airport early in the morning.
Room was comfy, internet was good - all in all the standards that I#d expect from a Holiday Inn Express.

I stayed here from 24 October through 28 October 2012 and had a wonderful experience at this hotel. True the hotel is not in Stuttgart it is near the airport in the town of Echterdingen but is located very near the S-Bahn and is only a very short 20 minutes from Stuttgart. The staff is all very pleasant and helpful. The room was very nicely kept and clean. The breakfast was excellent. If you like walking it is possible to walk to the airport and the neighboring town of Leinfelden (I did both). I stayed here to attend an exposition at the Sindelfingen Messe and it too was only a short 20 minutes on the S-Bahn. Very convenient. Will stay here again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by intlbizguy Outside of downtown Stuttgart, but easy to access by S-Bahn
I have stayed at this hotel a couple times now. Although it is not in downtown Stuttgart, I like the little town of Echterdingen that the hotel is located in. It is a quiet and safe neighbourhood. The hotel is also just a few minutes walk to the Echterdingen S-Bahn train station which makes it very easy to get in and out of the airport as well as into downtown Stuttgart. From Stuttgart Airport, the hotel is just a couple of stops away on the S-Bahn train. To downtown Stuttgart it is about 20 minutes by the S-Bahn train. The hotel also has an agreement with the local gym across the street for 7 Euros. I thought this was great since I like to try and get in some exercise on my business travels. Grocery stores are also across the street as well as restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. The breakfast in the morning is well done and I would say better than other HI Express hotels I have stayed in. The price per night also includes wireless internet and the hotel is very good value for what is received overall and you can easily to get business meetings in downtown Stuttgart if you don't mind the 20 minute train ride in.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nicciagain This is an EXCELLENT facility
This is the 2nd time I have written this review having submitted one already. Having not found it on the web - I have stirred myself to write other because this little hotel has always impressed us and deserves to be recognised.
We have business reasons to stay in the village of Echterdingen in the suburbs of Stuttgart and right near the Stuttgart Airport. This hotel, for a very reasonable price, provides us with everything we need...good amenities, comfortable bed, good internet (included), good breakfast (included) and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. What more could you want.
Compared with one of its big brothers in Paris we recently stayed in, it won the value for money competition hands down. Says something about staying out of the big, touristy cities perhaps, or just the attitude of the management?
Thanks HE Dieselstrasse. You are champions!
