Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great times! It was easy, clean, safe and the staff were warm. Thanks March 22, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quit and nice bed The only thing that wasn't excellent was the breakfast. Other than that it was a nice place to stay. March 16, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great value but too noisy This was not a bad place to stay and the location is excellent. The main problem we had with staying here was the noise from the room above. The kids in the room above stomped all night long (and all morning). We called the front desk to complain but it did not stop. If we stay there again I will definitely ask for a top floor room. I like the fact that the pool is open 24 hours; that is a big plus. However, we were too tired to wait up for the hot tub. It was very crowded while we were there. The continental breakfast was mediocre. You could make your own pancakes. The rest of the hot food was okay but we didn't think it was very tasty. They offered biscuits and gravy, sausauge, and eggs. There were other choices, such as cereals, bagels, toaster french toast, yogurt, and danishes. The only fruit I saw was bananas and they were a little too green. Coffee and milk were also available. The hotel is located in Logan and is close to many restaurants and a Wal-Mart. There is an awesome barbeque/steak house next door called the Millstone. I highly recommend it and you will get a 10% discount if you show them your hotel key card. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Dog friendly, not cat friendly Had to sign all kinds of waivers to get our cat to stay; pool was closed for maintenance; spa was closed for maintenance. January 8, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Clean and great hot breakfast Holiday Inn Express hotels are usually consistantly good. The one in the Hocking HIlls area is excellent as well. It is so nice that they accept pets & there was not a pet fee at this hotel! Yay! There was a 30 lb wt. limit. I hope the no pet fee policy does NOT change! I thought it was very considerate of the manager to notify us the morning of arrival that the pool was 'not in use'. She offered to make other arrangements for us if it would be a problem. However, it was not a problem at all for us. (The hot tub was still available.) The breakfast attendant was always in the breakfast area checking to see how everyone was doing and keeping the breakfast items replinished. December 15, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Stay Great place to stay' staff professional, friendly and considerate. We had our dog with us and we stayed in a "pet room". The room was clean and fresh just as always when staying in a HIE. Thanks and will see you again. November 25, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location! This was a great hotel and at reasonable price, and handy to everything we wanted to see in the area!. After a day of hiking and ziplining, we enjoyed swiiming in the pool and had it to ourselves! The coffee and breakfast was a welcome thing to wake up to, and service was professional and prompt! And, the room was clean!!! November 16, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great location Dring a trip to Virginia, I found this location to be a perfect gem. Nestled among the mountains, it was a scenic and quiet location. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were well maintained and clean. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. October 24, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by service friendly and helpful Stayed one night on a fall leaf viewing trip. Had read other reviews and on their reviews picked this hotel. I agree with them, the hotel was clean, the beds comfortable and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and started our day with a full tummy!!! Will stay here again. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fall getaway I had read reviews about the staff being rude and inattentive and I found that to be totally unfounded. All staff that I had contact with were very pleasant and attentive. However, there were some things about the facility that were sub par. First, our toilet was loose and would rock back and forth every time you sat down. Second, the shower curtain rod was loose and prevented the curtain from closing correctly. Third, the walkways around the pool had loose stones all over the deck, pool bottom, and hot tub bottom. Very hard on bare feet. I just wish that I did not have to listen to the water running next to me and above me. That other visitors would respect those trying to sleep by being quiet in the halls, not letting kids run the halls, and slamming their room doors. Maybe I should have stayed in a cabin. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great value and central location My daughter and I stayed here so we could do some weekend hiking. Room was large and clean and sooooo quiet at night. Central location made access to all hiking and shopping a breeze. The breakfast was a wonderful surprise. Freshly made pancakes, eggs and sausage. We did have a slight plumbing problem which we reported. The staff was fantastic in their response and we even received a small refund on our room rate which we did not expect or ask for. Above and beyond great customer service. Would stay here again for sure. October 12, 2012
