If you enjoy going back in time to the 70s, try this hotel. Small rooms, small bathrooms (the bathroom door that knocks on the toilet), expensive wi-fi (free in most hotels nowadays), no minibar, expensive breakfast with very minimal buffet, no room upgrade (despite availability). Only positive things are decent sized tv & comfortable bed (standard Holiday Inn), on top of the location. But there are nicer and cheaper hotels around the corner. Yes, unfortunately the only up to date thing about the hotel are the prices.

Booked a smoking room 3 months in advance. did not get a smoking room (despite being available online to book on the day).
Recieved a letter at check-in recognising my platinum status staying there was free water, juice and biscuits in the room, which there was not. Aircon didn't work (on hotest day of the year so far). Curtains do not fully close leaving a bright shaft of light coming through. Was told several different stories from front desk staff as to why room request was not honoured, so was lied to buy at least one person.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chrish2 Very nice hotel with a good location
Had a very nice stay at this Holiday Inn. Good location with easy access to shops. A number of very nice restaurants nearby (try St Christopher's Place which has a number of places to eat).
Walked from Euston station (with smallish bag) and to Kings Cross (without bags) as weather was very nice however would not recommend to do this if the weather is unpleasant.
Staff in the hotel where very friendly and always wanting to help.
Room was modern with more plug sockets than I could count! A welcome change from visiting hotels which have only 1 plug socket in the room.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by LDClogs Good location, needs a revamp
If you want a good location, close to Oxford St, and you just need somewhere to lay your head at night, then this hotel will be perfect for you. However the room I stayed in was in great need of a revamp - chipped and scuffed paintwork, tired furniture (apart from the standard issue Holiday Inn bed surround and bathroom) - and the atmosphere was rather depressing. If you want to feel welcomed and able to relax in your room, then look elsewhere!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Humanplay Nice big room and a central location
stayed many times mainly because of the central location and the room sizes are pretty good. Desk staff are very welcoming. Bar service lets hotel down there is never anyone on to serve you and if there is someone they have the tv on loudly showing some rubbish not news or sport.

I have stayed many times at this hotel and I have recommended it to many.
It is very well managed and offers good value for money. Location unbeatable. I always look forward to my return where I am warmly freeted.
