I always try to stay in Holiday Inn Express’s all over the US, But this one in London KY is not up to Holiday Inn Express Standards, I have stayed at this Hotel for years while traveling and I even had brought by Bosses from TX and OK here to stay because they prefer Holiday Inn Express over other Hotels and believe me they travel at latest 250 + days a year. but in the past two times I stayed at the London Holiday Inn Express I could tell that something has changed, My hotel reservations were messed up, on my 4 day stay the slid the bill under my door after the first night and I had to take time to go the desk and fix it, and then my club member ship was messed up during my last stay I had a boss from OK with me and somehow his Name was on my club account and my address showed up. The guy behind the counter could not fix it I had to take time out of my busy day and call the Awards card and to get it fixed. and as far as cleanliness, before they has someone cleaning the dining area all the time and the food was hot and the cinnamon rolls were fresh and hot and not cut in half, the past two times I stayed the cinnamon rolls were cut in half like they were cutting back. The rooms was not near as clean as it was during my previous stays and the musty smell would not leave I even sprayed Lysol in the vents but did not work. This trip I was planning to stay four nights but after the first night I was looking for another place next door and was even cheaper and have clean rooms I had to stay there one night till the Holiday and an opening. But this time I did not move, I had my bags repacked and ready but I had to be at work by 8 am and did not have time to change. So on this trip you made money off a dissatisfied customer, but it will not happen again unless you change the Holiday Inn Express in London KY. I will be staying next door in a fresh and clean that is even cheaper. And the continental breakfast is hot and the dining area is clean and the hostess is polite and the front desk graded you when you came in. where at Holiday Inn Express you ring a bell or just stand there till they get done doing what they are doing in the back room... May be talking on cell phone or texting, who knows But one thing for sure they all need to learn, that the person standing there waiting to get waited on probably has something better to do with his or her time and that the client / customer is the one paying their salary or hourly rate.
My suggestion would be: Remove the managers/owners for that Hotel, or take the Holiday Inn Express Branding off so the other Holiday Inn Express’s wouldn’t loose business.

Venue seemed to be a little older building than most Holiday Inn Express but was clean and comfortable.

We took a chance and registered on-site, something we never do. However, the desk clerk was able to give us our preferences regarding location, etc.
Front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful when suggesting a restaurant nearby, even one that was further away.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by RJSSr Hotel is not up to what we expect from Holiday Inn Express.
I would rate the facility well below the 3.4 shown in the hotel ratings. Maybe a 1.5 or 2 would be more accurate.
Proper Maintenance is not being performed when needed and it shows.
We got the impression the staff all have bad attitudes for some reason.
The breakfast was poor but no poorer than the condition of the bathroom in our room.

I have written two reviews own this lodging. No change. Terrible eggs...worst anywhere. As a Platinum Member I should be reviewed for upgrade. Are you kidding...girl couldn't get off of her phone to even acknowledge my presence. No Platinum welcome package offered. It is always something here. Printer wouldn't work for my paperwork. I had to go ask for my receipt as it didn't show up at the room. Then was very nearly argued with regarding it's lack of delivery.
Holiday Inn Express, please don't ask me for my opinion and make no changes. My time is valuable. Bottom line...poor management.

Clean room, helpful friendly staff, everything we needed within walking distance. We stayed four nights and were never bothered by other guests or vehicle noise. All in all, it was a very pleasant place to stay.
