Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Housekeeping poor; resturant excellent The restaurant had excellent service. We ate breakfast there 3 days, ordering off the menu and buffet. I would highly recommend the Yogurt Parfait. The staff was very accommodating and personable. However, housekeeping was lacking. First night: We had a sofa bed and only one sheet was supplied. Called for a second about 10:00 pm and 30 minutes later I went to the desk and made a second request. It was sent up. Second and Third night: We left early morning and did not return until 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Our room had not been cleaned either day. Cleaning was "down the hall" both days with their carts and at that late hour we requested a couple of towels (one of which was dirty) and shampoo. Even that came with an attitude from the cleaning staff that "it wasn't their fault and they were going to miss a party". My husband said I was entirely too kind. Actually after a day of college orientation and another of out of town travel, I was too tired for confrontation. May 11, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice folks, but the place needs updating The lobby is nice and clean and the front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. The building is just a little old and the carpet needed vacuuming. (We saw the maids cleaning but not vacuuming, and in our bare feet we could feel small rocks on the floor.) The drain in the shower had some rust around the drain and the faucet leaked. And there were many plugged holes in the wall that were noticeable. The bedspread had some noticeable stains on it. The A/C worked well and was not noisy. The price was right and it is an older "nice" hotel, so I would stay there again. We felt very safe and the clientele was good. May 10, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by OLD Mattress This Hotel needs to be UPDATED.. it is not to holiday inn standards.. its old and not comfortable at all, Two out of three elavators were out of service. The room we got had two queens, one of the Mattress was bowed in the middle, try sleeping and resting in a Taco.. it felt dirty, but i couldnt change my reservation it was sold out.. By far this was the worst Holiday Inn i have ever stayed at.. Next time im in Lubbock my stay will be at another hotel, until they update this one.. April 26, 2013

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Bad TV programing Small amount of TV channels to choose from. When you're stuck in a hotel as much as I am, it's nice to have a LOT of channels to choose from. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Elevator broken I have stayed in this hotel for the last 10 years during the SWPSC conference at the civic center always the third week in April. The last 4 years have been nothing but problems. I book the rooms in January and for the last three years before this one they did not have the rooms I booked. Last year they gave a key to my associate and when he went to the room and opened the door there was a man changing clothes in the room. It was the other mans room. This year the elevator was out and since the hotel has only ONE elevator back in the suites area we had to use the stairs and I was on the 4th floor. I like Holiday inn but I will not stay at this hotel in the future. April 23, 2013
