This was my first family stay at this hotel and when we checked in the front desk clerk and GM were both there to meet and greet us. Stayed there for 3 nights and the staff was very attentive to our requests. Hotel was immaculately clean at all times. Our room was more than expected. Kids like the layout and that there was enough room for everything. I give big accolades to the GM Mr. Blanco for running a great staff and hotel. I'm a firm believer that for a company to be successful it all starts from the leadership. Mr. Blanco, is a great example of true leadership. I have been to many other hotels in my career and non has come close to they way this hotel operates. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay at this particular one if ever come back to Mcallen TX on business.

I recently stayed in this property for nearly four months and could not have been any more pleased. The hotel is well-run, hotel manager Carlos has a great staff that is pleasant, helpful, courteous, and which to a person obviously enjoys working at this hotel. Sonia serves as a fantastic ambassador, Julio and Enrique are great, and Chris always makes you feel at home at the evening social.
The rooms are very clean and housekeeping was always willing to accommodate any special requests. The quality of food at breakfast was very good and in ample quantities. The evening socials went a step beyond and were truly excellent -- the only downside is that they are only three nights a week.
The property is well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing with the landscaping and special care given to the grounds. The pool is very nice and a great place to relax at the end of the day. Laundry facilities were adequate and the gym was very well set up with a wide screen tv, treadmills, a bike, bench, and free weights.
I cannot say enough good things about this Staybridge. The employees were unfailingly pleasant and obviously proud of their workplace. I wish all of my out of town trips were to McAllen so I could stay at this property more often.

Highly recommend! Prompt, friendly, helpful staff. Not only guest room & bath, but total facility clean and like new. Full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, cooktop. Complimentary breakfast pizza, bacon, fruit, soda pop in the dining area by a fireplace. Complimentary light dinner Tues-Thurs: first night-salad, fruit, meatballs, homemade cookies, beer, wine; second night-hamburgers, hotdogs, fruit, salad, homemade cookies, beer, wine. Complimentary laundry facility and snack pantry. Convenient business center. Nice exterior with landscaped grounds. Quiet. Great safe location. Free parking. Clean outdoor pool with bar-b-q grills. Stay was too short.

Ive been working in McAllen and have returned to this hotel twice now and I wont stay anywhere else. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere is great. The food is good. And most of all I love my room, it's clean and spacious and feels kind of like home, and that is important to me when Im here working for two weeks at a time,
Also the pool area is nice, there is a BBQ grill out back, and the fitness center accomadates my workouts very well. I take advantage of the kitchen and make soups and rice for lunch and on the weekends. There is also a DVD player so I cant rent from Redbox and have a movie night. Just like home!

This hotel is the best!!!! Service is outstanding, food is great, amenities are fabulous, everyone is friendly. xxx is especially helpful; zzz the van driver is personable and courteous. Everything about this hotel is tops!
I HIGHLY recommend this hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel at least 20 times in the last 3 years. I have always liked the friendly staff and in general, the value for the money is OK. However i nthe last year I have clearly stated to them that they should start renovating or at least replacing the worn furniture. The sofa beds are horrible, we stopped using them about a year ago and instead place the mattress in the floor. This time I found carpet coming off the floor, loose pieces of furniture in the kitchen. The TVS are a big problem also, they have DVD with composite outputs that every time I get into the room I have to rewire my self as they are always misplaced, I know some guests take cables away but this is a problem that has lasted too long by now. I personally find also a probelm that they dont do a full cleaning service on the weekends (when I normally stay), sorry to say but there are newer hotels with lower prices, the value of this hotel is going down fast. I hope they start solving it soon as I really like to stay with them.
