Welcome to InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto
The Rialto is quite simply world-class. Completed in 1891, when Melbourne was the richest city in the world, this restored hotel now blends traditional comfort with modern facilities and style. Located on legendary Collins Street, the hotel offers fine dining, from contemporary Australian to Italian cuisine, an indoor pool and full-service spa. Beyond the hotel, explore the vibrant Southbank, historic Block Arcade, the Royal Botanic Gardens or stroll the banks of the River Yarra.
Features
The InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto comprises two buildings, the Rialto and the Winfield buildings. The buildings were completed between 1890 and 1891.
The Rialto building was designed in the neo-gothic style and the Winfield building was designed in the Romanesque style. Both buildings are heritage listed by the National Trust of Australia.
