Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Front desk service is slipping I have stayed at this hotel when traveling through since it was opened. The last stay, my room was not available and the front desk people had to scramble to find me a room. The guest apparently decoded to stay over another night. This is 2 times in row that this has happened. I like this hotel and will stay again but something is slipping in the reservations process when I have to stand at the front desk so they can find an available room. May 20, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very great sevice Whenever I have a problem it is taken care of. All the desk people are cordial and helpful. The service staff are as well. Only complaint. We are not getting true HD channels as advertised. No difference than the SD channels. May 15, 2013

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Staff Our stay at the Holiday Inn in Meridian was not pleasant. The front desk staff acted as if we were a nusiance by showing up and staying at this property. During check in the lady at the desk ignored us upon arrival, as she was busy doing something else. We were not recognzied as a priority club member, or given our breakfast vouchers that we paid for in advance. Our room had a leak in the shower that got the hallway wet so we notified the desk and they changed our room, but guess what, someone else was already in that room. Oh, and we were not in the system when we checked in. The next room we got reaked of vomit and finally the four room was good. March 4, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Wifi is horrible most everyone was nice The WIFI here needs to be upgraded. It is extremely slow. For the most par the staff was very nice except at check out. There was a stocky blonde haired lady whom I believe was the manager. When I was checking out everyone at the front desk looked up and smiled and said good morning and asked how was your stay. Except for her. I came back down and smiled at her, since she was now alone and said good morning thinking perhaps she hadn't seen me the first time (which was impossible). Again she never once acknowledged that there was anyone at the counter. I smiled and said Good Morning, again she looked up but gave no acknowledgment. Even a grunt would have sufficed at this point. It's not a big deal but if she is that unhappy at her job perhaps she needs to rethink her career choice because obviously customer service is NOT her strong suite. Other than her, the experience was good not first class but good. Not what I am accustomed to at a Holiday Inn. February 28, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by I expect better - will drive a little further next time When I travel, i sometimes stay at less expensive hotels/motels, and I don't expect much beyond a clean bed. Most of the time though, I stay at Holiday Inn motels because I have been pleased with their amenities and staff. I had just drove ten hours and was looking forward to a soak in the hot tub. Sorry, no tub here. Plus, an attitude from the lady at the front desk like I should know better. It was a nice looking place, but apparently they were more interested in the local happy hour trade at the bar than their faithful Priority Club customers. The parking spaces closest to the entrance were ALL full around 7pm, and empty at 6am the next morning. Next time, I will drive over to 1399 Roebuck Dr. on I59 and stay at the other Holiday Inn in Meridian. If you're looking to rest and not party at the bar, I recommend you do the same. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GREAT STAFF ALL THE STAFF HERE IN MERIDIAN ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. THEY REALLY DO A GREAT JOB OF TAKING CARE OF ANY NEED OR REQUEST PROMPTLY AND COURTEOUSLY. January 30, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not so hot. One of the front desk staff was okay, one was not. Neither were even remotely interested in my booking, "off the highway," as it was. The restaurant was loud and my food was awful. I was too tired to send it back, but - for example: the spinach salad with "shaved onions, candied pecans (maybe it was walnuts?), dried blueberries" came with thickly chopped onions, raw nuts and a small handful of fresh blueberries. Also - with the wrong cheese. And if that was a peach vinaigrette, then I don't know what a vinaigrette is. My waitress, however, was extremely nice, so would like to give her a five-star rating. No breakfast was included, and the hotel rate cost $30 more than two I had just stayed at on this trip, both Holiday Inns. I chose this hotel over the others at the stop because I had just left the superb Holiday Inn Biltmore East in Asheville, which had influenced me to try Holiday Inns once more. But not this one.
