Can't ask for a much better location for walking around Montreal's Chinatown and Old City. The rooms are comfortable and the lobby area has an interesting oriental feel to go along with Chinatown.
Tried the buffet breakfast and was really glad I had a free coupon as I would not want to pay for what is just an average selection of food.
The parking garage is like driving into a third world nation as the paint is peeling, the signage is hand made and the general feel is scary. At $27 per night it seems like they could put some money into improving this facility.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by DJDINA Hotel is feeling old
Too many old amenities for the price.
Would like to see an updated coffee maker.
The iron & board were old and did not work well.
The washroom is showing wear and old looking.
The Desk Chair was very uncomfortable.
The curtains don't close all the way and keep blowing open by the fan below directly below.
Breakfast selection was very limited for the price.
There was no visible concierge on duty for the 3 days of my stay.
The whirlpool is poorly located and has a ladder to climb up into.
The pool is very small.
As a priority club member there were no benefits.
Although the location is close to the convention center, there is little value for the high price.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by cvd98 room 930 (i think)
I received a room upgrade which was very nice but the room had a huge ugly liquid stain in the middle of the carpet. It was very unattractive and made the whole room feel unclear....time to repace the carpets.

It was my first stay at this hotel. The check in staff (same on departure) was really good and knowledgeable.
Room was ok (9th floor) but not to the standard I expected for a Holiday Inn Select. This hotel is in need of a major uplift. In my opinion it does not meet IHG standard. I will not return unless it is renovated.
My room was a fair distance from the elevator yet I could hear it non- stop early in the morning.
Breakfast was below standard, cold and not many items left at 0930am.

Clean and quiet. Profesional staff. Try the restaurant "Chez Chine" for the included breakfast. The manager is so funny and friendly!!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Coll1030 Clean and comfortable with great front desk service
We only stayed one night at the Holiday Inn Centre Ville as we were in Montreal for a hockey game, but the hotel was very clean and the young woman at the front desk was incredibly friendly, and even helped us with directions to the hockey arena. Our room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located across the street from a subway station, but is also walkably close to the Bell Centre for the hockey game. The only con about the hotel is that the underground parking has limited spots, and the spots are hard to get into and out of (and we don't have a big car).

We are senior couple of priority members, hoping to have a relaxed Easter weekend, but it was a disaster!
We had specifically requested a quiet room on our online reservation.
But the hotel put us on a floor with some sort of sports team, mostly teenagers and their parents.
The noise from the rooms and corridor went on all night until approx. 3 am.
The noise continued even after we complained to the front desk at 1 am.
We did not hear from the hotel, it never got back to me even after I sent a written email complaining to the management.
On top of that, the hotel charged me a bottle water after I checked out, and admitted that it was a mistake.
Don't go there!
