Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RUCAR a piece of peace for winter days
If you need or want to relax on winter days this hotel is the right place. If you want to enjoy the summer with family or friends, this hotel is the right place too. Nice landscape, very frendly and professional staff, great facilities and good food. Very nice ambiance for golf players. A place to relax and to remember. Good value. RC

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Grigorijus Great Staff at Reception but some maintenance problems in the room
Very helpful was Peter (Night Auditor) whom help to sorted out all my problems, offer great customer service and show his knowledges about local area.
Also Would like to say thank you to Concierge who done great job and been so helpful
unfortunately, there was many maintenance problems in the room - broken wardrobe, kettle, very bad smell from outside , shower holder also was broken in my room 305
room service staff don't speak English very well, couldn't understand that I've ask for black coffee, then couldn't understand that ask them for plaster, so they transfer me to reservations for translate, so I had explain once again to them, but they apologise for this inconvenience.

We stayed for 11nights in mid September attracted by the ease to getting here from London. We flew into Alicante about 1 hour and 10 minutes away by hire car though Murcia Airport at San Janvier is a lot lot closer but flights from the UK are more limited.
The hotel was quiet which suited us - no difficulty getting a sunlounger. The downside was that some of the facilities were limited - Ginko Restaurant serving Oriental food was only open weekends and the menu did not provide much choice. The hotel's main restaurant Vinoteca though was excellent and very reasonably priced for the standard of cuisine - well recommended.
Within a short walk though not part of the hotel itself were a pizzeria (serving more than pizzas and pasta) and tapas bar both of which were worth visting while an Irish style pub provided an alternative to the hotel bar. For more variety we found ourselves driving half an hour or so to Murcia and Los Alcazares for dinner - having a car is an asset. There's a large supermarket and shop in the surrounding residential area so those seeking retail therapy do not have far to walk.
Our suite was probably one of the nicest we've had in an Intercontinental - spacious and well furnished with lovely views over the lake and gold course - though situated directly above the bar terrace meant that we were disturbed by the chatter and antics of the drinkers below.
Staffing levels overall were low and one or two were not in our opinion cut out for the hospitality industry but equally there were some who were very committed. Standards of English were varialbe with some barely managing the basics. Housekeeping was hit and miss with very high standards on some days and a bit of sloppiness on others.
Nonethless we really enjoyed our stay here - the hotel management made us feel very welcome and because of this we will certainly return. Golfers we imagine would consider this paradise with a course on the doorstep and many more within a short drive.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Extramile Thanks for a great stay!
After a poor start - the resort's facilities largely closed at the beginning of October - the staff did their very best to ensure we were happy. Great food, drink and sunshine!
