Everything from check in to check out was super convenient and no hassle. The front desk was incredibly friendly and helped out in every way. I requested multiple keys and they also gave us free water and snacks!
Fitness center is nothing to brag about, and parking wasn't abundant but still an excellent experience and I would recommend this place to anyone.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MICKEY89 Comfortable bed and great service
My kids and I came in late after a long day of traveling back north from FL. Check in was easy and the courteous night auditor acknowledged our Priority Club Platinum status. This is an older property but clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast attendant, Carol, assisted me in obtaining directions back to I 65 to continue my journey home after spring break. I had a GPS but she was very helpful and even got printed directions for me.

The good: Convenient location, extraordinary and friendly service desk attendant.
The Bad. Room looks very old. Carpet was super dirty. Not only stains but dust and crumbles around the night stand. That detail alone prevented me for feeling relaxed and confident about the bed, sheets and matress..
Breakfast is the traditional free quick offering. Good cofee but watered down OJ.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by lmh5263aph The worst hotel i have stayed in for a long time. :(
Our family chose to stay in New Albany because our 8 year old had a cheer competition in Louisville. As we checked in, all seemed pretty good. The lobby was very nice and the area where breakfast was served was extremely clean. Our room was on the 4th floor and as we got off the elevator the entire hall smelled of paint (there was blue tape everywhere)....not that big of a deal knowing all places eventually need remodeled. Then we walked into our room (I believe it was 408). The entire room smelled of cigarette smoke. The bathroom had no ventilation fan and it smelled the worst. I don't know if this used to be a smoking room or not, but it was disgusting. There were 4 of us, so we decided to go down to pool for a bit before bed. Again more remodeling (which is normally not a problem), but they had toilets sitting around the pool. Not very inviting. Just made it seem dirty in there. There was other stuff laying around the pool also being used for remodel. There were no towels in the pool area. We went to the front desk asking for more towels and the lady got disgusted with us because she "had just put towels in there". She ended up bringing ten more towels and said this is it for tonight. Once we get back up to our room it was constant noise the entire night. The room next to us had a baby crying for a long period of time. There were kids running the halls. Then at approx 4 am a group of what sounded like intoxicated men came down the hallway and one of them must have fallen and they hit our door. So of course woke all of us up and at the at point I was unable to return to sleep. Had to be up at 5 to get ready for Cheer Competiton. So all in all, we travel a lot on weekends for cheer, baseball, basketball....and this hotel was hands down the worst i have ever experienced. The one really good thing was the breakfast. It was very, very nice and the staff was overly friendly.

We spent two nights last weekend in New Albany. The first night our room was freezing cold and we could not get the heater to work. The next morning we informed the front desk clerk and she said maintenance would check it out. When we returned later that night, we still had no heat in the room. Once again we informed the front desk clerk, she aplolgized and gave us keys to another room and said we could move. The second night was great, the room was nice & warm and we slept much better. Even though the hotel is now smoke-free, we noticed the fifth floor hallways smelled like cigarette smoke. .

Stayed here on a business trip and will never make the mistake EVER again. Immediately when I arrived on the property I knew I'd made a mistake. The outside of the property was dirty. When I stepped on the elevator, the elevator was dirty also (spots/dirt on the floor#. The hall on the floor I was on was dirty and full of spots as well. I placed my belongings on the bed and sat down....could hardly believe the amount of dust on the night stand. However, not only the night stand was dusty, but the bathroom, the ice bucket....etc. I called the front desk and requested to be moved. The front desk staff readily obliged me. When I moved to the next room...same thing. I was tired, had been on planes and in a car all morning and did not want to move. I went to a local store and purchased some sanitizing wipes and dusted/cleaned the room myself. Later in the evening while sitting on my bed I see a rat run into the bathroom. #YES A RAT!!!!!!) I called the front desk and the desk staff comes in with a broom. There was a hole in the wall in the bathroom so she said the rat probably went into the hole. I requested to be moved again.....and again I had to go through the trouble of cleaning the room because of the dust. I've never had such an awful experience. Guess I can add it to my lists of firsts. Oh...did I say I'll never stay there again????

Holiday Inn Express in New Albany is great. Their rooms are always clean and the the maids are great and very nice. We needed some extra towels and my husband had no problem finding one of them and they were great. We have stayed there many times this year due to our son moving to the area. We will be happy to go back and stay. The only thing I wish is that they had bars in all their showers for the disabled. I hate to use a disabled room but due to my disease I know I should. They are good about changing our rooms if they have any disabled rooms available.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NCGliderPilot Comfortable bed and service typical of a good hotel.
I suppose, beside the comfortable bed, was the quiet air conditioning system. Whisper quiet makes for a good nights sleep. The staff and morning breakfast was also a welcome. Thanks for the stay.
