Great location with very clean and comfortable rooms. The rooms are not large, but how many rooms in Manhattan within a block of the Empire State Building are large? Plus, with free Wi-Fi the my 2 boys were very happy. Super location and easy to get to....when visiting New York City in the future, this is where I will stay.

This hotel is in a great location within a short walk of Times Square and the Empire State Building as well as all the shopping of 5th avenue. Everything a little further away is easily accessible by the subway station at 34th street. The hotel and rooms were very modern and the rooms were very well sized especially for a central city location. The breakfast was very large and delicious and the staff very friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again on another visit to New York.

This Holiday Inn was perfect for our trip to NYC as the main purpose of our visit was 2 shows at Madison Square Garden. The hotel is 1 1/2 blocks from the Garden. And not far to Times Square and the theaters. Room was a little small, but clean and included all of the amenities.

Have stayed there 4 times in one year. Rooms are cozy, best beds in the industry. Bathrooms are neat!

A totally new Hotel in an excellent location, near Empire State, 5th Av., Macys, Penn Station, etc. The view of the Empire State from our room was amazing. The room is very confortable, just a little small when you have a lot of baggage, but it was not a big deal. The location, the cleanliness and the kindness of the staff (reception) was exceptional. I have nothing to complain.

All aspects at the hotel were great. Friendly and accommodating staff. Despite the refurbishment of the lobby there were no problems accessing all facilities. The room was well furnished and comfortable with a great view of the Empire State Building. Great value and with Macy's so easily accessible a great shopping experience. Would thoroughly recommend to others and will be returning to this Holiday Inn when we visit NY again.

We came after 3 weeks traveling in th US before heading back home,and it was good ending to this trip....
The front dest was very helpfull ,free Internet , very nice rooms good price .....
All what we needed...

I stayed in 2 other Holiday Inns during my 9 day vacation. Two in NYC and 1 in DC. You can see my reviews for those. This location was my first leg and started off extremely bad! The people at the front do not even hold a candle to the staff at the other locations we stayed. THey were incredibly unprofessional, rude and extremely unhelpful. I will never stay at this location when I return nor will I ever recommend to a friend. The things the gentleman did while checking us in were unacceptable. The so called manager fixed his mistake but never apologized...never even smiled once. Which was necessary in the situation. It truly worried me that this was what we were in for at the next two Holiday inn hotels. But thank goodness it's just this location. Never again...ever!

I booked this hotel at the last minute and got a great deal on it. Its one street over from Korea Town, a few blocks from Penn Station, one street away from the Subway station. Great for shopping (2 Blocks away) and not to far from Times Square.
The only minor inconveinience was the construction in the lobby, but that wasn't a problem for guest traffic.

For the price, you could stay at a 5 star hotel that has a lobby and common area. The room was too small for two adults and the a/c didn't work. Without an attempt by the manager to make things right by putting 4 beers and some snacks in the room, I would have asked for a refund and went to a different hotel. The hotel lobby was under construction and there was no notification when making the reservation.

As demand in New York was very high and I had to make last minute travel plans for an important business meeting I didn't really have a choice but book the midtown holiday inn despite it undergoing building work for a facelift, there were very few rooms left in the entire city. I have to tell you, I got lucky.
Despite building works, the room was fantastic. I have stayed in hotel rooms in New York before where you could reach out and touch each wall from the comfort of your single, lumpy bed, the rooms at Holiday Inn midtown were generous in size, the bed was huge and very comfortable and the staff were cheerful, helpful and very attentive. Breakfast was very good and served promptly and the bar had a certain friendly feel backed up by the staff who were very engaging.
If your planning a stay in the big apple, this centrally located, reasonably priced and newly updated hotel is a bit of a gem.

I am a frequent traveler for leisure and work - and have stayed in hotels around the world and many hotels in New York. It is always essential for me to find a place that will be comfortable to stay in, have modern features to allow for work on the road and excellent service. I am pleased to say that the Holiday Inn 31st meets all of these expectations -- and on the service point exceeds even my very high expectations. They make you feel at home and treat you nice. I highly recommend this property.

Our stay was just 1 night but we had a great time and received great service especially from the front desk staff, they helped with a Parking fee problem and with a lost item.
The rooms were a little small for 4 adults but we only slept there.

Wonderful hotel and staff for first time visit to NYC. Especially loved the pizza and room package. Safe, quiet, clean...just perfect! Within walking distance of many attractions. View of Empire State Building from our room was a bonus!

I usually stay in another hotel when traveling on business to NYC. Price was better here than my usual hote. Gave it a try and was super impressed. Will return on business and for leisure. Convenient location to my office on Park Ave but also to 5th Ave shopping and tourist locations. Lot's of great eating nearby as well. Hotel rooms are IMMACULATE though a bit noisy when other guests return to their rooms at 12:30 AM (why do the doors slam so loudly!). Front lobby under renovation so I will be curious to see what it looks like in a few months. Staff at check in was FANTASTIC and helpful. Will recommend and stay again for sure. Kudo's to Greg and Alex!!

When we arrived, the hotel was under reconstruction. However the staff were excellent, check in / out was a breeze,. The value was great, there was no charge for our two kids to stay in the room. compare to other accomodations near by, very affordable. And we had a beautiful view of the empire state building out of our room window.

Wish that they had completed their renovation of the entrance before we stayed. Would like to see what it looks like when it is done.
Did not dine at their restaurant, but did have the pizza sent up twice and it was pretty good.
Did not get to see the roof.
Would stay here again.

I wasn't expecting much, but the experience was great, great check In and Check Out, spacious room(NYC standards), super clean, nice people. Only complain was the restaurant, it seems I did not sit well with the lady who works at night there, so she could not get me some hot milk for my 3 year old son, well, maybe the kitchen was close as she told me, I don't know. Besides that the experience was great, nice people at the front desk and very modern hotel.

I enjoy coming this particular hotel because of the 25,000 bonus reward points with a nights stay helping to earn a free night! It's also accessible to major transportation and the hotel is very clean and a pleasure to stay in. I've never had a bad experience coming here and don't think I ever will.

Staff was extremely accommodating,friendly and efficient. The rooms where clean and well kept. I am a faithful Holiday Inn customer and after our last experience in the Teterboro Airport Holiday Inn in NJ, I was skeptical about using another Holiday Inn. You may thank the staff at this Holiday Inn for turning me back around.
